The man that everyone thought would be there is as Tiger nailed a birdie putt on 18 to force a playoff against Rocco Mediate the underdog for today’s playoff. Yesterday nobody could get on track or pull away so it was an intense round of golf for even Lee Westwood who missed his birdie attempt on 18 to also force a playoff. This is a typical little guy vs the man secnario. This is good for golf an extra day of exposure and your top player maybe ever in his first Major playoff against a average player just happy to still be playing. Can Tigers knee hold up for another 18 holes? Will Rocco keep his composure and not let the imtimidating Tiger overcome him? I guess there will be some sick people today or taking an extra vaction day to find out. Good luck to both golfers.

Now What? With their loss to the Illinois Fighting Illini Ohio State not only lost a shot at the National Title but their colassel matchup with Michigan, along with the Wolverines lost to Wisconsin 37-21, has lost it’s luster. Now we have only one team that is undefeated with a shot at the title. (more…)

Bob Stoops, Urban Meyer, Rich Rodriguez, Mack Brown, Greg Schiano, Tommy Bowden all needed the pink stuff. After a crazy weekend in college football I’m not going to lie I needed some too. My beloved Gators lost on a last second fieldgoal to the Auburn Tigers 20-17. Stoops troops, the Oklahoma Sooners, fell on the road to the Colorado Buffaloes 27-24 on a last second fieldgoal as well. Rodriguez’s gang, West Virginia Mountaineers, got it handed to them on Friday night by the now sixth ranked South Florida Bulls 21-13. (more…)
