Remember The Titans- Titans 31 Colts 21 !!!

Tuesday, October 28th, 2008 |

The Tennesee Titans came in Monday as the only undefeated team in the NFL.  And a lot of experts didn’t want to really show this team love due to they didn’t play anyone in there schedule that was too tough.  But now taking on the Colts on Monday night  the Titans have a chance to show the whole football world they’ve arrive.  The Colts jumped out to a 14-6 lead and was playing solid on the run defense.  And at times in the game the Titans looked like not to have and answer.  But they put the ball in the quarterback hand Kerry Collins.  Collins was solid with the football for the Titans.  Collins went 24/37 for 139 yards and no INTERCEPTIONS. ”We’re trying to get where they’ve been,” Collins said. “It was a big step for us tonight I think. We obviously got off to a good start, and to get one more against a division opponent is again real big at this time of year.” Collins was solid enough to get the running game going for Landell White who scored two touchdowns and add Chris Johnson who also scored a touchdown and the Titans were on there way to a win.  As for the Colts they had a good beginning but there passing game wasn’t as solid.  The Colts and Peyton Manning had two interceptions and also on 4th downs they were 0-2.”It’s going to make it doubtful for us to win the division, but … we’ll see what the last nine games bring,” Dungy said. “If we play well and get ourselves on a streak and get going, we can be a playoff team. I think once you get in the playoffs, anything can happen as we’ve seen two of the last three years.”  The Colts are now 3-4 and 4 games out of first place but things maybe looking up for the Colts.  Reportedly Joesph Adai  and Bob Sanders will be coming back for the Patriots game this Sunday.  As for the Titans they will be at home taking on the Packers.

A Dead Rose- Colts 31 Texans 27 !!!

Monday, October 6th, 2008 |

The fans of Houston have gone through a lot of advirsity this month.  The Hurricane with Ike really caused a lot of damaged, so to help take there mind off things it was good to have there home team the Texans to comeback home to up lift there spirts with a good solid game as they took on the Colts.  But did they know have about hurricane Rosenfel? The quarterback for the Texans who stepped in for Matt Schab who has and illness.  Rosenfel played awesome 3.75 quarters but the NFL is four quarters and all HELL broke loose. The Texans who was up 27-17 with about 3 plus minutes in the game.  Rosenfel decided he was going to be John Elway in the Superbowl against the Packers. And did the helicopter spin in the air and fumbel the football. And Gary Brackett picked the ball up and returned it 68 yards for a touchdown.  Rosenfel wasn’t done yet in the next series Rosenfel instead of tuckin the ball away left it exposed and fumble the football again to help set up the Colts for winning touchdown pass to Marvin Harrison.  The Colts win the game and score 21 points in 2:10.  Rosenfel had this to say about the last minutes of the game.”All of our team played great football today, played winning football and I made those mistakes that cost football games,” Rosenfels said. “There is no reason we should have lost that game.”For one play I made a really stupid mistake and that started the downward spiral,” Rosenfels said. “I feel like I let those guys down.”  The Texans are now 0-4 for the season and the Colts are 2-2.

MANNING RULES- COLTS 18 VIKINGS 15 !!!

Monday, September 15th, 2008 |

Peyton Manning pulled one out of his you know what yesterday.   Manning and the Colts looked like they were going to start off the season 0-2.  Not since 1998 has the Colts started there season off 0-2.  For 2.5 quarters the Vikings were the best team on the field. But the problem for the Vikings is that the NFL is a 4 quarter game.  And once you have a team like the Colts on the ropes you better knock them out.  Manning with 3 minutes plus in the game in the third quarter.  Threw a strike to Anothny Gonzales who then made flee flicker the ball over to Reggie Wayne who almost ran it in for a touchdown. The Colts did score in from the one yard line, to get back in the game 15-7.  Reggie Wayne also caught a 32 yard pass and a the 2 point conversion was made with Dominic Rhodes scoring to help tie the game up at 15.  But Manning at 3rd 9 under a minute.  Manning hit Reggie Wayne on a 22 yard pass.  Help set up a 47 yard field goal from Adam Vinatieri to help win the game.  The Vikings are offensively challange.  Tavris Jackson flat is not cutting it.  Jackson ability not to move this team on the offesne side  of the ball.  Has got his team in a 0-2 whole. Jackson was 14/24 for 130 yards.  Not bad numbers but no touchdown drives.  The Vikings offense mustard up 5 field goals and with a team like the Colts thats just not going to make it.  Too bad for Adrian Peterson 29 carries for 160 yards, so now let the talk begin on who should replace Tarvis Jackson, Jeff Garcia, Gus Ferriort or maybe even Daute Cullpepper, whoever steps in better be able to stir this ship because the big time Viking band wagon looks like it is about to crash.

REMATCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This time its for real!!!!!!!

sdg.gif2553.jpgind.gif1428.jpg

When we last saw these two teams play each other, the Colts were beaten by the Pats the week before, could only suit up 44 out of 53 players, and yet the lost 23-21. A.Vinatieri missesd a chip shot and the end game interview we saw a rather displeased L.Tomlinson state the obvious…..”we got lucky”.  Now here we are and these teams will give us a encore.  The Colts are healthy and are ready to defend their title.  The spotlight is on the Chargers now.  The Bolts fired M.Schottenhimer (3rd all-time wins) for N.Turner because the GM did’nt like him. Oh wait he could’nt win in the playoffs thats it.  The media ripped them for the moves and here they are.  The key for the Bolts will be L.T.!  Clock management will be paramount.  the Bolts did not use L.T. in the second half of the first meeting and it showed as P.Manning threw for 300+ yards and 6 picks and the Bolts got lucky.  By the way was it just me or did the Colts 2nd string looked pretty damn good against the Titans in the season finale?  This game is going to get UGLY early if L.T. does not play well.  Bolts D held J.Addai to 56 yrds, and picked off Peyton 6 times the first meeting.  They will have to do it again if they want to win this game.  *NOTE* NORV USE L.T. ALL GAME OR YOU WILL LOSE!!!!!!!!
