The Yankees won there 8th home game in a row last night.  The Yanks who have been lacking in the producing runs department.  Last night had no problem scoring on the Twins.  Jeter,Rodriguez and Cano all hit homeruns last night.  Combine that with a solid start from Sydney Pondson, who went 5 plus innings gave three runs and nine hits.  Pondson has been a pleasent surprise for the Yanks.  Pondson is now 2-0 since signing a minor league contract deal with the Yanks.  But all is not good in Yankee land.  Jorge Posada was just put on the 15 day DL.  Posada shoulder is still giving him problems.  There is talk Posada might have to get shoulder surgery.  And that will end his season for 2008.  No decsion won’t be made until after the 15 day DL.

Yeah, reports are coming out that the New York Baseball star Alex Rodriguez new down low jump off is Madonna.  Madonna who is 49 and Rodriguez 32 has been reportedly having a steamy love affair.

A source tells Us that the $28-million-a-year Rodriguez, 32, has made numerous solo nighttime visits to Madonna, 49, at her spacious home and would sneak out “as late as midnight.” Says the source, “All the doormen are talking.”

Rodriguez attended Madonna’s April 30 NYC concert; the singer sat in his seats at a Yankees game on June 22 (it was the first time she ever was photographed at a Yankees game). Her son Rocco, 7, also sported Yankees gear on June 25 while playing in Central Park.     Is Madonna getting the A-BOMB from A Rod?

John Smoltz is on the DL list due to a shoulder injury but there is now more to this story. Smoltz who not too long ago was one of the best closers in the game now is stating that he will come out of the bullpen for the Braves.  Smoltz saved154 game coming out of the bullpen for the Braves and had a NL record 55 saves.  Smoltz is the only baseball player to have 200 wins and a 150 saves Smoltz had this to say

“I won’t rush back,” Smoltz said, according to the newspaper. “I’ll use the best judgment to do what it takes to come back and be successful. The last thing I want to do is bounce back and forth on the DL.

“I will be fine. The team will be fine. And the next time I throw will be because I’m ready.” Read more

The 2007 A.L. MVP was announced yesterday.  A-Rod the 275 million dollar man did the damn thing during the regular season.  Rodriguez hit 54 homeruns 156 RBI’s this is Rodriguez thrid MVP in his career.

“There’s definitely a huge hole in the resume. And I mean, it’s my third MVP and I’m here to say that I would trade all three for one world championship. I wouldn’t think twice about it,” Rodriguez said.

The New York Daily News has reported that Alex Rodriguez has been talking to the Yanks again.  Rodriguez who didn’t want to sign with the Yankees before now has a change of heart, but the Yankees will not deal with him unless he gets himself a new agent.  Scott Borris A-Rod agent is now on very bad terms with the Yanks and is the one that has caused a lot of headaches. Bottom line is A-Rod cannot get 275 million dollars anywhere else and is now putting on a show on how much he loves the Yanks and wants to come back.  Will it happened?? I say HELL YEAH!!!
