Mets Tell Randolph To Kick Rocks !!!

The New York Mets have won 3 of the last 4 games, so of course the Mets fire there manager Willie Randolph. The Mets made the announcement 3:00 am in the morning eastern time. How classless the Mets treated Randolph.  Along with Randolph who was let go pitching coach Rick Peterson and first base coach Tom Nieto.  Randolph as a Mets manager had a record of 302-253 which is the 2nd best in Mets history, right behind Davey Johnson.  Replacing Randolph will be Jerry Manuel.    Manuel was the manager for the White Sox 1998-2003.  Manuel was A.L. Manager of the Year 2000.  Willie Randolph was the 18th manager in Mets history.  And was the first African American Manager in the history of New York baseball sports.

Being A Black Manager- Willie Randolph !!!

Willie Randolph is a living legend in New York.  Randolph has won championships with the New York Yankees and now is the manager for the New York Mets.  Randolph has had sucess with the Mets winning the N.L. East Division but still hasn’t won a championship and with the big time collaspe last season.  The Met fans have been giving Randolph a hard time.  By booing and asking for Randolph to be fired. Randolph seems to think he is getting treated unfairly due to he is black. Randolph had this to say

“They don’t like me?” Randolph said. “ ‘We don’t like Willie.’ Wait a minute, why don’t you like me? I don’t get it. Did I do anything to you? If you look at what I’ve done for your club, you should like me a little bit.” (more…)
