Mets Tell Randolph To Kick Rocks !!!
Tuesday, June 17th, 2008 |The New York Mets have won 3 of the last 4 games, so of course the Mets fire there manager Willie Randolph. The Mets made the announcement 3:00 am in the morning eastern time. How classless the Mets treated Randolph. Along with Randolph who was let go pitching coach Rick Peterson and first base coach Tom Nieto. Randolph as a Mets manager had a record of 302-253 which is the 2nd best in Mets history, right behind Davey Johnson. Replacing Randolph will be Jerry Manuel. Manuel was the manager for the White Sox 1998-2003. Manuel was A.L. Manager of the Year 2000. Willie Randolph was the 18th manager in Mets history. And was the first African American Manager in the history of New York baseball sports.
