Jason Bay of the Boston Red Sox came in by trade to take the place of Manny Ramirez. Well last night Bay step in Manny like and delivered a big 2 run homerun to give the Red Sox the lead 2-1. The Red Sox after they got the lead never looked back. “I think we proved a lot,” Bay said. Jon lester who took the mound for the Red Sox, out duel John Lackey of the Angles. Lester went 7 innings gave up 1 run. And then turned it over to the bullpen Paplebon struck the side and the Angles once again prove they can’t beat the Red Sox in the postseason. The Angels are now down in the series has to look there big hitters to help draw even in this series. Vlad Guerreo has to step it up more his hitting in the postseason has been horrible. Leaving men on base and not producing in the clutch is hurting the Angles team. Mike Scioscia manager of the Angels had this to say “We had some chances early, and couldn’t get some hits to fall in, “Lester was on his game. He’s having a terrific year. He’s got a great arm and his velocity was up a bit from earlier in the year and he was able to get the fastball on both sides of the plate.” But this series for the Angels is all about Vlad Gurerreo he must step and carry this team to get past the Red Sox. Gurerreo cannot let Jason Bay out perform him. This just cannot happened. Game 2 Friday at Anhiem.
