Hines Number To Be Retired
Friday, January 11th, 2008 |Kyle Hines of UNC Greensboro will have the honor of having his No. 42 retired next month. This is truly a honor since Hines hasn’t even finished his eligibility. Hines, a 6-foot-6 power forward, has scored in double figures in 63 consecutive games. He is averaging 17 pts and 9 rebounds, if he maintains this he will top 2,000 points, 1,000 rebounds and 300 blocks for his career. Only five players in NCAA history have accomplished this; Dave Robinson, Pervis Ellison, Derrick Coleman, Alonzo Mourning and Tim Duncan. February 28th is when his jersey will be retired.
