The Western Conference Finals kicks off tonight. The Lakers Vs. Spurs will meet to see who will win the west and go to the NBA Finals. From 1999-2007 these two teams have 7 championships between them. San Antonio Spurs the ultimate professionals not too flashy all about team and don’t care who gets to be the man on there team. The L.A. Lakers lead by Kobe Bryant this is the leader of the team. Bryant is still trying to get out of the shadow of Shaquille O’Neal who lead the Lakers to three Championships, but now it’s a new day in Laker land the past is the past and now the Lakers are all about Kobe Bryant. The New Orleans Hornets was coming back home for game 7. The fans were behind them and a lot of NBA experts had the Hornets beating the Champions the Spurs. The Spurs had a lot against them going on the road trying to win a game 7 in a loud and wild enviornment. The Spurs also have never come back from being down 2-0 and the Spurs lost the first two games of the series to the young Hornets. Now everything seemed to be in the favor of the Hornets expect one old rule. To be the man you got to beat the man and when all was said and done the Champs are still here. (more…)

David West not too long ago in the start of his NBA career was label as he is too small to play power forward and is to slow to play small forward so what do you do with him? West has answered the questions with I am one of the best forwards in the game today period. It can be small or power West can play both and last night West put on a performance in Hornets history will go down as one of the best. West last night scored a career high 38 points 14 rebounds shot 16-25 from the floor as the Hornets take a comanding 3-2 lead in the best of seven from the Spurs. (more…)

San Antonio Spurs are old boaring not fun to watch and is a t.v. ratings nightmare. The only thing they do well is win. The Spurs last night showed the Hornets and the NBA world no matter how you may feel about us remember the Champs are here. The Spurs in the 1st half shot for 60% and part of the reason is Tony Parker being in the painted area all night long. For all the Chris Paul talk Tony Parker has been flat outstanding. Parker went 8-12 from the field and the most impressive stat is he did not turn the ball over once in the 1st half and add that Parker did not even shoot a three pointer in the game last night. The Hornets won game 1 going away with the play of David West and the career playoff low of Tim Duncan who only scored 5 points. The Spurs who are known for the big time come back had that set in thier minds as they took on the young Hornets. The Hornets who have been flying high wanted to take a comanding lead at 2-0 knew it wouldn’t be easy going up against the defending champs the San Antonio Spurs. (more…)

The San Antonio Spurs is trying to do something they have never done in there franchise history and that this win back to back Championships. The Spurs are the oldest team in the NBA and one has to wonder will age catch up to the Champions. Tim Duncan in Game 1 put up a horrible performance this was his baddist performance for his playoff career with 5 points 1-9 from the field. The key for the Hornets was power forward David West who scored his best out his career playoff wise with 30 points. The Hornets blew out the Spurs 101-82. Now unlike the Magic the Spurs can go down 2-0 and still come around a win this series this game is important to the Hornets. The Hornets must defend there home court. If they lose tonight expect the Spurs to try to put the hammer down in games 3 and 4. The key in tonights game is look to see if Tim Duncan try’s to match up one on one with David West from the Hornets. Tonights game on TNT right after the Pistons Vs. Magic.
