Stephon Marbury is getting 250k per game to sit on the bench. Marbury is in the dog house already with Mike D’Antoni and the rest of the New York Knicks management. The Knicks are strong arming the situation to keep Marbury from playing. Marbury in his final season will get over 21 million on his contract with the Knicks. Marbury who is clearly frustrated with the Knicks has now gotten the players union involved to get him out of
New York. Marbury has gone through the ringer not only as a Knick but as a career. Marbury has been labeled as a trouble maker and selfish. But not this time, it truly seems that the Knicks are acting selfish about the matter. Why keep paying someone 250k just to sit on the bench. It has gotten so bad the fans in MSG are now chanting let Marbury play. First year head coach Mike D’Antonio was seen cussing at the fans when they were chanting for Marbury. The Knicks who are 1-2 so far for the young season needs to cut the check and let Marbury go. The Heat is interested in putting Marbury on the team it will be the best for everyone to let Marbury continue his career some where else. It just amazing that the guy who won High School Championships in that building in MSG. Marbury can’t now even get a chance to drop sweat on this court things that make you say DAMN!!!!

Stephon Marbury has reportedly been asked to buy out of his contract. Marbury is his last year of his contract that will give him 22 million for the 2008/09 season. Stephon Marbury who is never been one to bite his tongue had this to say. ” I won’t take a penny less, I earned my money if they don’t pay me in full I won’t take a buy out.” Marbury also had this to say if the Knicks don’t want him. ” There a lot of teams that need point guards, Boston I will love to play there no disrespect to Raja Rondo but I will come off the bench to help them win all I want now is a ring.” I wonder if the Knicks waive Marbury buy him out will Danny Ainge and Doc Rivers call up Marbury to play? Once again Kevin Garnett will be playing with Marbury who last time they played together was in Minnesota. But reportedly ego got in the way and made things hard for both to get along. Marbury has said he is in the best physical shape of his life.

Stephon Marbury has not had a good time in the NBA recently. Therefore Marbury has said when his contract is up this year with the Knicks,
“I’m not just thinking of doing it, I’m going to do it, “My wife loved it there.”
“It’s like a [David] Beckham thing,” he said, alluding to the English soccer star coming to America to play in Major League Soccer after years with top-flight European clubs Manchester United and Real Madrid I would’ve played 13 years in the NBA.”
Marbury who is coming off down season, most of it injured. Marbury averaged 14 points and 4 rebounds.

New York Knicks star Stephon Marbury has branded himself with his number 3 logo. At a Vegas’ Valley High last night - a new tattoo inscribed on his left temple was described as the number 3. The “3″ logo found on his Starbury sneaker and apparel line is now a permanent part of his bald head. He may have done this to convince his new coach that he still wants to play for the Knicks. Marbury said, “I love New York. I want to finish my career here. I feel I have a lot more to give. But I guess I have to prove that because I haven’t been on the court much. You guys are saying I can’t play anymore. It’s kind of fun. It’s a challenge.” We will just have to wait and see……

The New York Knicks have now won 3 in a row and that’s without point guard Stephon Marbury. Marbury has been out due to and ankle injury,but there have been talks that Marbury maybe not as injured as listed and Marbury is upset due to the lack of playing time on the court. The Knicks not to long ago as a team had a secret vote to have Marbury suspended after his argument with Isiah Thomas. Eventhough the team voted for Marbury to get suspended Thomas ignored the team and let Marbury return since then it’s been a bad mix, but not that Marbury has been out the Knicks have beat three team in a row and no easy teams at that.
