The muder suspect in Sean Taylor’s muder case will not face the death penalty. The shocking news was release by prosecutors on Monday and they stated that the teen in the case because he was a minor at the time of the shooting. Eric Rivera Jr., who turned 18 last month, was 17 at the time. He said he shot Washington Redskins star Taylor during a robbery at his Miami home in November. Prosecutors and defense attorneys are barred from discussing the case with reporters under a gag order. Taylor’s family accepted prosecutor’s explanation for the move.

The Washington RedSkins will have another game to play this Saturday against the Seahawks. The Skins needed to beat the Cowboys to get there and that they did. The Cowboys who came in short handed with Owens being out with a high ankel sprian the Cowboys had also a rough day on the ground by only rushing for one yard. (more…)

On a bitter sweet note. The late Sean Taylor made the 2007 Pro Bowl. Taylor was gunned down last month and was on the brink of becoming the best safety in the NFL. Taylor before his death was leading the NFL with 5 interceptions.

The death of NFL pro star Sean Taylor has rocked the sports world and arrest has been made to the murder of the safety from the Washington Redskins. The four men that were arrested ages start from 17-20 the charges have not yet been given out, but they range from murder to burglary.
The Redskins also announced that fans attending the team’s Sunday game will receive a towel with Taylor’s No. 21 jersey on it and that his name will be displayed prominently in one of the end zones. Snyder said in a statement the team will contribute a minimum of $500,000 to a fund to benefit Taylor’s daughter.

In the sporting world we hear of all the good guys going bad, rarely do we hear of the bad guys going good. Sean Taylor was one of those guys. A reckless young man at the University of Miami, and at the start of his NFL career. Sean turned his life around and became a better person since the birth of his daughter Jackie. His was a Pro Bowler in 2006 for the NFC as a safety and one of the hardest hitters in the game. He rarely did interviews, But players in the locker room say he really started to buckle down and get his life straight. He made a lot of good plays and made some key errors as well at the start of his Pro career. He came on strong this year playing his true safety position and led the Redskins in INTs. Had a knee injury that kept him from playing in two games. As a fan and former player I can only imagine the pain the Redskins are going through as well as his family. Sean will be missed by all of us,my prayers go out to his family,teammates,and the Redskins organization. Sean Taylor was 24. The details of his murder are still being investigated.
