Queens stand up. Ron Artest is the man that every NBA team who is trying to win a championship now wants. You know this is a copy cat league. Since the Boston Celtics won the Championship due to outstanding defense. Now everyone wants a defensive stopper. Artest who as we all know has his moments losing control on and off the court. But one thing Artest loves playing basketball, and takes pride in playing defense.

The Atlanta Hawks made the move they have needed to for some time. After passing up on Chris Paul, Deron Williams, and Brandon Roy the Hawks now have a real point guard in Mike Bibby. After sending the Kings expiring contracts of Anthony Johnson, Tyronne Lue and Lorenzen Wright also Shelden Williams and a second round pick the Hawks to me stole Bibby away from Sacramento. Without having to touch the core of their roster now the Hawks have no excuse in getting to the playoffs and now winning their first round series. Not only is the pressure eleviated from Joe Johnson now he has someone who can make clutch shots and allows for the floor to be spread so lanes are now open for drives for Josh Smith, Marvin Williams and Josh Childress. With Bibby the Hawks really need to start to push ball up and down the floor. Come with a more wide open game so these young athletic guys can get out on the break. The only problem I see will come on the defensive end. Bibby has never ben a great defender by no means but the trade off for having finally got a point guard will be worth it. Great move Billy Knight.

The Boston Celtics last season won only 24 games before they played the Kings the Celtics have won 22 games and is no doubt the talk of the NBA season for 2007. The Boston Celtics as a team haven’t won in 11 years in Sacramento. The Celtics the first time this season will be on a west coast swing 4 games in 5 nights and wanted to start off hot and that they did. Paul Pierce stole the show by scoring 14 of his 16 points in the second quarter. The Celtics in the second quarter went on a 33-5 run. The Celtics cruise to a 89-69 victory. Boston has not allowed a 100 points in it’s last 9 games. The Celtics on this west coast trip will be at Seattle, Utah and the Lakers.
