Tuesday, May 20th, 2008 |

San Antonio Spurs forward Tim Duncan (21) shoots over New Orleans Hornets' Tyson Chandler (6) and Morris Peterson (9) in the first half of Game 7 of the NBA Western Conference semifinal basketball series, Monday, May 19, 2008, in New Orleans. New Orleans Hornets' Chris Paul, left, and Jannero Pargo sit on the bench during a timeout in the fourth quarter of Game 7 of the NBA Western Conference semifinal basketball playoff series against the San Antonio Spurs in New Orleans on Monday, May 19, 2008. The Spurs won 91-82.

The New Orleans Hornets was coming back home for game 7.  The fans were behind them and a lot of NBA experts had the Hornets beating the Champions the Spurs.  The Spurs had a lot against them going on the road trying to win a game 7 in a loud and wild enviornment.  The Spurs also have never come back from being down 2-0 and the Spurs lost the first two games of the series to the young Hornets.  Now everything seemed to be in the favor of the Hornets expect one old rule.  To be the man you got to beat the man and when all was said and done the Champs are still here. Not Dead Yet- Spurs 99 Hornets 80!!!

Friday, May 16th, 2008 |

San Antonio Spurs' Tim Duncan, left, shoots as New Orleans Hornets' Peja Stojakovic (16), of Serbia, watches during the first quarter in Game 6 of the NBA Western Conference semifinals basketball series Thursday, May 15, 2008, in San Antonio.

Not so fast everybody.  The Spurs are not dead yet.  Last night once again they prove that they have a heart of champion.  San Antonio beat the Hornets not only by scoring but also beat them up.  The Hornets was really never in the game. The Hornets were only 2-9 from three point range and looked like a deer in the head lights.  David West who scored a career high 38 points only had 10 in game 6 and had to leave the game with a back injury.  West was having problems with his back all night long but Robert” The Hit Man” Horry came in and gave in a nice little love tap to the lower back.  Which made West had to leave for the rest of the game. Best In the West- Hornets 101 Spurs 79!!!

Wednesday, May 14th, 2008 |

David West not too long ago in the start of his NBA career was label as he is too small to play power forward and is to slow to play small forward so what do you do with him?  West has answered the questions with I am one of the best forwards in the game today period.  It can be small or power West can play both and last night West put on a performance in Hornets history will go down as one of the best.  West last night scored a career high 38 points 14 rebounds shot 16-25 from the floor as the Hornets take a comanding 3-2 lead in the best of seven from the Spurs. SAN ANTONIO, TX - MAY 08: Tony Parker #9 of the San Antonio Spurs shoots against David West #30 and Melvin Ely #33 of the New Orleans Hornets in Game Three of the Western Conference Semifinals during the 2008 NBA Playoffs at the AT&T Center on May 8, 2008 in San Antonio, Texas. The report before Game 3 Spurs Vs. Hornets were the Hornets are too fast for the Spurs.  Tony Parker can’t handle the new sensation Chris Paul.  Tim Duncan has lost a step.  To be truthful the only thing the Hornets did was defend there home court.  Now if the Hornets was to win game 3 in San Antonio then the statements previous made maybe true but the Spurs prove once again in Game 3 they have the heart of a Champion. All 4 Paul- Hornets 102 Spurs 84!!!

Tuesday, May 6th, 2008 |

The Hornets won game 1 going away with the play of David West and the career playoff low of Tim Duncan who only scored 5 points.  The Spurs who are known for the big time come back had that set in thier minds as they took on the young Hornets.  The Hornets who have been flying high wanted to take a comanding lead at 2-0 knew it wouldn’t be easy going up against the defending champs the San Antonio Spurs. Game 2 Preview Spurs Vs. Hornets !!!

Monday, May 5th, 2008 |

The San Antonio Spurs is trying to do something they have never done in there franchise history and that this win back to back Championships.  The Spurs are the oldest team in the NBA and one has to wonder will age catch up to the Champions.  Tim Duncan in Game 1 put up a horrible performance this was his baddist performance for his playoff career with 5 points 1-9 from the field.  The key for the Hornets was power forward David West who scored his best out his career playoff wise with 30 points. The Hornets blew out the Spurs 101-82.  Now unlike the Magic the Spurs can go down 2-0 and still come around a win this series this game is important to the Hornets.  The Hornets must defend there home court.  If they lose tonight expect the Spurs to try to put the hammer down in games 3 and 4.  The key in tonights game is look to see if Tim Duncan try’s to match up one on one with David West from the Hornets.  Tonights game on TNT right after the Pistons Vs. Magic.
