Blackout In HollyWood- Celtics 97-Lakers 91!!!!

Friday, June 13th, 2008 |

The Boston Celitcs during this post season run was not good on the road.  They lost to the Hawks, Cavaliers three times in each series.  But in the NBA Eastern Finals the Celtics started to turn it around.  By winning two road games on the road.  And the Boston Celtics who throughout the regular season posted the best NBA road record at 31-10.  But the Celtics coming into this NBA Finals.  Was considred by many and your’s truly to be old and not deep.  Plus the Lakers coming out of the tough West and be the former Champs the Spurs in five.  The Lakers looked unstoppable.  But that’s why we play the game. Lakers Move to a Perfect 9-0 at Home Winning Game 3

Wednesday, June 11th, 2008 |

24.JPG

The Lakers are looking perfect at home with 9-0 in the postseason by avoiding going down 0-3 to the Celtics last night as they pulled out a victory 87-81.  Kobe Bryant scored MVP numbers with 36 pts.  He had 10 in the fourth quarter and Sasha Vujacic came off the bench with 20 pts.  Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom are still finding themselves in trouble during the Finals.  Scoring just four and nine points for the Lakers.  We will need much more from them if they want to win in this Final series.  This is also the first time the Lakers beat the Celtics, counting regular season.

NBA-FINALS GAME 2 PREVIEW !!

Sunday, June 8th, 2008 |

Here is the top 5 things to look for in Game 2 of the NBA Finals.

  1. Pau Gasol has to become factor.  GaSol who was 15 points and 8 rebounds.  But really needs to have a break out game in Boston, and really become the true number 2 man on this Laker team.  The Lakers cannot win if GaSol doesn’t step up.
  2. Kobe Bryant 9-26 from the floor, don’t look for the black mamba to do that again.  Let’s see how Bryant get his other teamates involved tonight on the road.  Game 2 of the NBA Finals. (more…)

Bad Shots - Celtics Up in Game 1

Friday, June 6th, 2008 |

cp.JPG

Game 1 of the NBA Finals took place last night in Boston, Mass.  The crowd was filled with Celtic Pride and a few Lakers Purple and Gold.  This series is going to bring tradtion back to the Garden and Game 1 did just that as the Celtics walked away with a victory 98-88 over the Lakers.  This is the 11th time these franchises have met in the Finals with L.A. walking away with the last trophy.  Kobe Bryant led his team with 24 pts, but his shooting was off alnight.  As for most of the Lakers it seemed the ball was just not their friend.  Shot after shot, in and out, touching the rim just to hit the top and bounce away.  Bryant was 9-of-26 shooting and Boston’s defense (the best in the NBA) showed the Lakers team no mercy.  The Celtics defense really showed up in the second half after their star player Paul Pierce hit the floor with a sprained knee.
