Mr. Clemens your interview with Mike Wallace is done and in the can ready to air Sunday night. Your constant denial of steroid use sickens me. Your best friend said he did it and he was sorry and you haven’t heard the slightest peep from anyone in the media towards Andy Pettit. You sir without a doubt are the biggest name from the Mitchell report. Everyone else has pretty much admitted that they did it, they gave their reason, and decided to apologize for it. You on the other hand deny, deny, deny. Congress is next for you on the January 16th. Will you take the Rafael Palmeiro approach or will you take the Mark McGwire approach? Now can we lay off Barry Bonds for a minute and focus on someone who has deceived us all. Not me though there was something that just kept telling me Roger Clemens’ on that stuff. Thank you George Mitchell for making me look smart.

This is my confession I am a die hard Yankee fan, but I have to admit Clemens has given shame to the Bronx Bombers. In 1999 when he came to the Yankees from the Toronto Blue Jays we as Yankee fans thought look at this guy with all the hard work put in Clemens once again is the best the Baseball world has to offer and help us win Championship in 99 and 2000.

After taking some time to digest all the pertinent information that was given to us by George Mitchell I say, is this what we were waiting for? To hear a bunch of names that don’t play anymore and the majority of them either at one time plaed for basically three teams, NY Mets and Yankees and the LA Dodgers. Yes the big fish that got caught in the net was Roger Clemens that was a coup for me, see ” Who is this Man”. A story I wrote sometime ago. (more…)

Barry Bonds, baseball’s home run king, was indicted for perjury and obstruction of justice Thursday and could go to prison instead of the Hall of Fame for telling a federal grand jury he did not knowingly use performance-enhancing drugs.
The indictment, culminating a four-year investigation into steroid use by elite athletes, charged Bonds with four counts of perjury and one of obstruction of justice. If convicted, he could be sentenced to a maximum of 30 years in prison.
Shortly after the indictment was handed up, Bonds’ personal trainer, Greg Anderson, was ordered released after spending most of the past year in prison for refusing to testify against his longtime friend.
The 10-page indictment mainly consists of excerpts from Bonds’ December 2003 testimony before a federal grand jury investigating the Bay Area supplements lab at the center of a steroid distribution ring. It cites 19 occasions in which Bonds allegedly lied under oath.
An attorney familiar with the investigation told ESPN’s T.J. Quinn that the government obtained the results of positive steroids tests for Barry Bonds during a search of BALCO facilities. The source said the positive results did not come from confidential testing conducted by Major League Baseball and the players association. In approximately 2001, MLB conducted tests to guage the level of substance problems among players. The government subpoenaed those records.
