Now that Elton Brand is gone.  The Clippers trade for Marcus Camby.  Camby who is known for his defensive play.  Will now be with Baron Davis to try and help make the Clippers be respectful again.  Remeber a few seasons ago the Clippers almost went to the NBA Western Conference Finals. But they lost to the Suns in a game 7 thriller. The Clippers which is not like in there history is now being aggressive in the off season.  And now wants to be a contender in the Western Conference.  Camby has been in the league since 1996 and this is what Camby has done.

The Golden State Warriors guard Baron Davis has opted out of his $17.8 million contract owned to him and the Los Angeles Clippers could be calling.  In his final season of his six-year contract, Davis made his decision late yesterday.  He could still sign with the Warriors but the love that he has in L.A. could be more appealing.  He grow up in Southern California and he played for UCLA.  Before Davis opted out it was reported that the Clippers were looking at Sacramento Kings point guard Beno Udrih.

If you wonder like me how come the Boston Celtics did not make a move to get stronger?  Well the answer maybe Sam Cassell the two time NBA champion is seeking a buyout from his current team the L.A. Clippers and it is being reported by the Boston Globe that Cassell will take his talent and go be with the Boston Celtics.  The buyout is to take place this coming Tuesday.  Cassell said this about going to the Boston Celtics

“My agent has been talking to them about it, but until he calls me and tells me to pack my bag, I’m still here,” Cassell said, according to the Globe.  Sam Cassell is avg 12.8 per game.
