The label on Tracy McGrady was he is soft can’t count on him and will never perform when it counts. Well at least tonight McGrady showed the NBA world what he can still do. McGrady tonight for the Rockets lead all scores with 29 points as the Rockets who were facing elmination tonight beat the Jazz by 25. The Rockets came into the playoffs shooting the worse out of any playoff team at 39% and scoring and average of 85 but tonight the Rockets came home and were on point. They shot 47% 15-19 from the free throw line and outscored the Jazz bench 26-9. “We’re in a great situation,” McGrady said. “We know we can win in Utah because we’ve done it before.” The Jazz had a night they will like to forget shooting 36% from the floor with 18 turnovers the Jazz’s Deron Williams had this to say about the Rockets defense tonight.”They’re a tough defensive team,” Williams said. “We got away from our offense a little bit, especially early in the game. We rushed some shots. We have to realize what’s a good shot and what’s a bad shot, when to make the extra pass and when to shoot it. We struggled with that today and it’s something we can do better.” The Jazz and Rockets look to lock up again game 6 in Utah. Utah had the best record at home this season at 37-4 but the Rockets is the only team in the NBA who has beaten them twice in that building game 6 looks to be a classic.

The Houston Rockets eventhough on the road had a lot of confidence going into last nights game against the Utah Jazz. The Rockets are the only team in the NBA to beat the Jazz at home twice this season and wanted to make it three times plus the road teams in this playoff series coming into tonight has won all the road games. The Rockets started out solid but in the second quarter only scored 15 points and was down at the half 46-38. That seemed to be the downfall for the Rockets who for the game shot 36% . The Jazz wasn’t doing much better especially at the free throw line they were 0-14 for the game. The Jazz didn’t even make a three pointer throughout the whole game. The leading scorer for the Jazz was point guard Deron Williams with 17 there were 6 players for the Jazz in double figures. The big play for this game was made by Center Mehment Okur who had 14 points and 18 rebounds and hit a key basket as the clock was winding down at the 4th quarter. “I tried to get myself going, stay active and mix my game up a little bit,” Okur said. “The ball didn’t fall for us, especially from the 3-point line tonight, but we were able to get the rebounds and get to the free-throw line.” The Jazz now lead the series 3-1 and will try to close out the Rockets in there building game 5 at the Toyata Center

The Utah Jazz for the regular season had the best home record of 37-4 a tough team to beat at home one of the four teams to beat them was the Houston Rockets but without Yao Ming and a not 100% Raford Alston the Rockets seemed to behind the eight ball and no way should the win tonights battle against the Jazz right? This is why sports has no script and the unbeliveable happends. Alston the point guard for the Rockets was the key with 20 points and 5 assist Alston was able to help McGrady who had good night 27 points 5 rebounds with 7 assist. ” The key to our win tonight was to slow down the game and kept it a half court game.” said Alston. As for the Jazz the leading scorer Deron Williams with 28 points 12 assist the Jazz shot the ball badly from the free throw line at 60 % 20-33. The Rockets are the only NBA team to beat the Jazz twice at home. Another key player for the Rockets was rookie Carl Landury who even losing tooth getting it knocked out by Carlos Boozer made a big time block with the final seconds in the game and by doing that got a kiss from Raford Alston to help the Rockets hold on to a huge win 94-92.

The Utah Jazz for the 2007/08 season had a record of 17-24 but now they’re playing in the real season which is the playoff season this is a hungry Jazz team that is not just satisfied with just making to the playoffs but this team thinks that they can win it all. Derion Williams the point guard for the Jazz once again was unstoppable Williams lead the Jazz with 22 points in all for the Jazz there were 4 Jazz players in double figures. As for the Rockets they shot only 60% from the free throw line 16-26 and for the leader McGrady who looked like someone who wanted to go home after this game only had 1 point in the 4th quarter. For the past two game Mcgrady in the 4th quarter has only scored 1 point. Rayford Alston the point guard for the Rockets was out for another game due to and injury and is suppose to return back in game 3. The Jazz is almost unbeatable at home in Utah with a record in the regular season of 37-4. The Jazz looked to take 3-0 lead as they play the Rockets this Thursday night.
