My pre pre-season top five for next year:
1. USC- Even if for some reason Pete Carrol decides to leave he will leave the cupboard completely full. Headlined by soph Joe McKnight the offense should be stacked and the defense continues to reload.
2. Georgia- This really hurts me but this team is off the chain. Knowshon Moreno is a back that is not to be messed with. Matthew Stafford continues to get better and a young defense keeps getting better.
3. Florida- Yes the Tim Tebow train will continue into next season added to the mix will be Emanuel Moody, transfer from USC, To finally be the running back and Percy Harvin returns to be a dynamic dual threat. The defense needs to mature in a hurry.
4. Ohio State- It wouldn’t be a surprise to me if this team makes a third trip to the BCS title game. For their sake I hope they play a SEC team. With Chris Wells returning and a stout defense the Buckeyes will continue to be in the mix.
5.LSU- This will be pivotal year for Les Miles. The Nick Saban holdovers are gone now can he win with his players. The talent is there will the coaching?

Now this is fun!!!! With LSU’s meltdown on Friday the whole BCS world has been opened for all to see or be apart of. Darren McFadden showed everyone that the Heisman race now has a stud horse coming down the homestretch. He ran through one of the nations best defenses for 206 yards rushing another 39 passing and three total touchdowns ( 2 rushing, 1 passing). A performance for the ages that just might move him past Tim Tebow for the Heisman ( more on him later). (more…)

Rivalry Week. One of the best weeks in the football season. With games such as Florida-Florida State, Georgia-Georgia Tech, Texas-Texas A&M. This weekend also gives us Kansas-Missouri and also Hawaii-Boise State. Now I know the latter has not been a rivalry for that long but this year Hawaii has a chance to steal a BCS berth with a victory and also claim the WAC title. The former pits two top 5 teams in a matchup that will decide the Big 12 north champ as well. I might as well say it now Tim Tebow will win the Heisman with another stellar performance against the Seminoles. There I said it( for like the tenth time huh). Let the predictions begin…………….. There are a ton of really good matchups this week. The surprising thing is there is only one that involves the Top 25. Cal has dropped out of the rankings so there matchup with USC doesn’t qualify, and South Carolina has lost it’s last three games making the matchup with Florida not mean as much. But I will do the best with what I got. So here we go……………….. (more…)
