How’s Your Bracket?
Monday, March 24th, 2008 |Mine is f’ed up man f’ed up!!!!!! Sorry I got a little upset, but thanks for asking. At the beginning of March Madness I had a few picks that drew the high eyebrow look from a chosen few of my associates. I said to myself I’ll show them with picks such as Butler over Tennessee, Mississippi State over Memphis, and Clemson reaching the Elite Eight. Needless to say none of those picks panned out. It’s 1 vs 2. Two teams who have shown that they maybe the best in the nation. Both from the state of Tennessee. What else could you want? Chris Lofton leads the charge for the Vols and Chris Douglas-Roberts leads the Tigers. Memphis comes into this showdown with the an undefeated record and the top spot in the land. You would think this team has no flaws. Think again. Free throw shooting has been the achilles heel for the Tigers. They shoot 59% as a team. At some point that will come back to bite them. For the last two seasons the Tigers have had great regular season records but have yet to reach the Final Four. The Vols have seen their program take a rocket ride to the top under Bruce Pearl their head coach. Enough of the particulars let’s break this game down:
