The Pistons are trying restructure there roster. The Pistons reportedly have a deal on the table. Baron Davis from Golden State for Chauncey Billups and Rasheed Wallace. The Pistons also now have new head coach in Michael Curry. It seems that the team from motown is really trying to go in another direction. Baron Davis is in his final year of his contract with Golden State.

Ray Allen has had a terrible post season. Allen who was brought to Boston to win a championship has not been the reason why the Celtics had made it this far. Allen some points in the post season looked old and flat out wasn’t a factor on the Celtics, but last night Ray Allen’s performance might’ve saved the Celtics season. (more…)

The Boston Celtics and Detriot Pistons kicked off the Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals last night and the Celtics are still undefeated at home. Boston is now 9-0 at home after beating the Pistons last night 88-79. The key to the Celtics victory was the play of Raja Rondo in 40 minutes Rondo had 11 points but his defense on Chauncey Billups was the key. Billups last night only had 9 points and seemed out of place coming off the hamstring injury. Kevin Garnett had 26 and Pierce 22 which made the Celtics take 1-0 lead in the best of seven against the Pistons. Doc Rivers the coach of the Celtics had this to say.”I believe in him. I play him. I’m going to keep playing him,” Celtics coach Doc Rivers said of his point guard. “I told him before the game, ‘Stop worrying about them. Make them worry about you, too. You’re a hell of a basketball player.’” Game 2 will be Thursday night in Boston.

The Orlando Magic came into tonight to prove that they can play with the Detroit Pistons. In game 1 the Pistons beat the pants off Orlando and it was no contest. Tonight Orlando wanted to show the Pistons this wasn’t going to be no cake walk and as a team Orlando will be here for a long series. The turning point in this game was the 2nd quarter where the Pistons out scored the Magic 21-11. For the Pistons there were 5 players in double figures. Lead by Chauncey Billups with 28 points. The Pistons shot at 47% and the Magic was at 43%. Dwight Howard who and awful time in game 1 turned it around this time for game 2. Howard 22 points and 18 rebounds lead his team in both stats. This game had a controversy refree Steve Javie at the end of the third quarter Chauncey Billups hit a three pointer and it seemed it didn’t count and after all replays the conclusion came to the basket count and the Pistons were on there way to the win. The Pistons are now up 2-0. If you’re the Magic one thing you can take out of this game is that you can compete with the Pistons and now that your going home you should be able to tie up this best of 7 going back to the Palace. Game 3 will take place in Orlando.
