The Cavs have now won two straight including Sunday’s 95-86 win over Da Bulls. King James did another one man show scoring 36 and adding 6 assists. Former Bulls big-man Ben Wallace, added 7 points and 8 boards. The players sent back to Chicago by Cleveland, Larry Hughes and Drew Gooden, combined for 35, but couldn’t overcome their old running-mate LeBron’s huge night.
Jason Kidd is back with the team that orignally drafted him where he became rookie of the year the Dallas Mavericks. Jason Kidd move has been kind of quite due to the big move by the Suns getting O’Neil and the noise of GaSol has been for the Lakers. Kidd move to Dallas hasn’t been the big time media coverage or hype about the trade. It almost seems that due to Dallas lack of good playoffs performance the last two seasons that no one expects this Mavericks team to be a threat to go to the Finals in the NBA. Kidd anyway still almost posted a triple double last night by scoring 11pts 8Asst 9reb. Kidd spreading the ball around had 5 teamates including himself in double figures last night. As for the new look Bulls with Larry Hughes and Drew Gooden they good debuts with Hughes scored 14 and Gooden put in 17 the leading point man for the Bulls was Ben Gordon with 25. The win for the Mavericks was there 38th for the season.
The NBA trade dead line was today and a three team deal was made. The Cavs get Ben Wallace and Wally Szczerbiak the Bulls get Drew Gooden and Larry Hughes. Szczerbiak is coming from the Sonics and Seattle is getting expiring contract from the Cavs Ira Newble and Donyell Marshall. Seattle will have some cap room to do somethings for the future with these players at the end of the season being off there books. I don’t know if this is going to help Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavs but only time will tell.
The Bulls young rookie Power Forward has been suspended by first the head coach for one game, but then the rest of the Chicago Bulls feels Noah should get a longer suspension and the head coach of the Bulls Jim Bolan agreed so not only did he miss a game of Friday, but also miss playing against Atlanta on Sunday. This all stems from a morning shoot around pratice in Philadelphia were Noah went on a verbal tirade at the assistant coach Ron Adams. ” I mean I’ve just got to accept it What do you want me to say? I’m a rookie.” Noah statement.
In his 5th year as head coach of the Chicago Bulls Scott Skiles was fired today the Bulls who have had a bad start this year with a record of 9-16 only the Heat and the Knicks have a worst record than the Bulls. The Bulls have mad the playoffs under Skiles the past three seasons.
The Boston Celtics, Wow!!! How could any team go from being the worst team in the NBA last year to being the best team this year so far? Boston is on a fast track to having a outstanding record and season. With new additions Kevin Garrnet and Ray Allen, they are the key factor for the Celtics much success. Their record stands now 20-2, but could it be just a lucky streak because they have not played anyone yet. Some say yes.
