Josh Beckett will be going to Alabama to Dr. Andrews. This is not a good sign. Beckett who in the past decade could be the best clutch pitcher. Now has to go to see Dr. Andrews and when that happens it could mean more time off or the dreaded Tommy John surgery.
“I think the best word I can use is we’re just trying to get some closure,” Francona said. “We never want to send anyone out there that’s not 100 percent. We’re no more pessimistic about him today than we were, but when he goes out there [again] we want him to be able to pitch with peace of mind.”
Beckett who last year pitched the Red Sox to a championship now maybe out for a longer period or may even be out for the season. Can the Red Sox make to the post season without Curt Schilling and Josh Beckett? These two guys were the back bone of the starting pitching rotation. Red Sox nation you now have to put your trust in Tim Wakfield, Jon Lester and Dice K. These next thirty games will be intresting for Red Sox Nation.

Jason Bay drove in two runs to give the Red Sox a win over the Yankees. Bay who was traded for Manny Ramirez has steppped in tonight like Ramirez and hurt the Yankees tonight. But also Tim Wakefield who was coming off the disable list pitched well. Wakefield pitched himself to his 8th win of this year. Wakefield had espcially Alex Rodriguez dumb founded the whole night. Rodriguez went 0-5 at one time left was the tying man at the plate and just could not deliver. The Red Sox and the Yankees play there last series at Yankee Stadium for the last time. But this series the Red Sox can truly put the Yankees out of there misery. The Yankees turn to Andy Pettitte there best clutch who just couldn’t deliver. Pettitte was knocked out in the 5th inning. One has to now also wonder besides Yankee stadium coming to and end. Have we seen the end of Andy Pettitte’s career? Yankees now are 6 out of the wild card and ready to kick the bucket.

Cliff Lee won his 15th game yesterday. As the Indians beat the Rays 5-2. The Indians are unbeaten taking on the Rays this season.”Honestly, I didn’t have my best stuff,”Most of the innings I felt I had to battle quite a bit. They put me to the test petty good.”
Clay Buchholz is now 2-7 for the season. Buchholz gave up 4 runs and seven hits in six innings. The Red Sox has there issues in Kansas City they’re now 3-7 taking on the Royals in there ball park.
Joba Chamberlin was not to sharp last night taking on the Rangers. Chamberlin gave up 5 runs. But that’s the least of Chamberlin problems. Last night Chamberlin was taking out of the game due to a stiff shoulder and maybe miss his next start. The Yanks lost last night due to a two out bottom of the ninth grand slam homerun Marlon Byrd for the Rangers to give them the win 9-5.

Two time champion Manny Ramirez is on his way to Tinsletown. The LosAngels Dodgers now have Manny Ramirez. Ramirez who have been one of the biggest reasons why the Red Sox broke there 1918 curse. And has been maybe the best right hand hitter in the American League in the past 5 seasons. Rumor has it that the Red Sox will get Justin Bay from the Pirtates. This was a three way deal. We hear that the Dodgers gave up some prospects.

The Boston Red Sox have lost back to back games against there rivals the New York Yankees. And some of the finger pointing and reasoning may have to do with one Manny Ramirez. Ramirez sat out on Friday’s game complaning of soreness in his knee. The Red Sox made Ramirez take a MRI on both knees and the tests came up negative. Ramirez who is in a contract battle with the Red Sox. Ramirez has been not happy about how his contract negoations are going and maybe half stepping. In other words Manny Ramirez may not being playing up to his full potiental. Today reports came out that the Red Sox have been asking around to trade Manny Ramirez. Ramirez after the loss today was no where to be found. Now,Now Red Sox just remeber before this guy Ramirez was on your team. You guys couldn’t win anything. Now since Ramirez join your team he brought two Championships to the town of Boston. In other words make him happy or you won’t win a championship this season.

The New York Yankees have been a roll as of late. The Yanks today who beat up the world champions Red Sox 10-3. Look like a brand new team since the all star break. Lead by Robinson Cano who today hit a homerun which was number 9 for the season. Cano since the 2nd half of the season started is batting .514 18 for 35 and in the past three seasons in the second half is .341. Cano today went 3-4. The combination of Cano and starter Andy Pettitte who went 7 innings gave up only one run, and stuck out 7. The win for Pettitte today was his 12th of the season for the Yanks. It’s wired that the Yanks starting pitching has been this well. Due to they lost there top ace Chien Ming Wang. The Yanks starting pitching has been a bunch of who’s who. Mussina,Ponson,Pettitte this is without the young arms Kennedy and Hughes. The Yanks in the last 15 games have only allowed 3 runs. The Yanks manager Joe Giradi had this to say”Our pitching has been really good all year,”That’s what’s kept us afloat. And now we’re starting to hit better. We’re starting to score runs. It’s a good combination to have.” The Yanks go for the sweep tomorow night against the champs the Boston Red Sox.
