Starbury Gets The Buy Out!!!

Wednesday, February 25th, 2009 |

Stephon Marbury has finally got his buy out from the New York Knicks and now is reportedly on his way to the Boston Celtics.  Marbury the New York native has not had the best of times coming back home playing for the Knicks.  Marbury having fights with coaches and players the hometown kid has had it rough on a public relations front in New York, But now Marbury who averaged 20 points and 10 rebounds for his career has a chance now to turn it all around.  Marbury is reportedly being in contract negotions with the Celtics to finish out the rest of the season.  Marbury has a chance to reuinted with Kevin Garnett who at one time was supposed to be the next Stocken and Malone. But the lack of mature by Marbury and Garnett the two haven’t been able to make that happned.  Now it looks to be the second time around and the Celtics with Garnett who won the title last season and adding Marbury to the team will upgrade there chances of repeating much better. Marbury can he make the next act between him and Garnett a winner??? Only time will tell !!!

Best In The NBA-Lakers 110 Celtics 109 !!!

Thursday, February 5th, 2009 |

The Los Angles Lakers returned to Boston after last year being embrassed in the finals in Boston by losing by 40 plus points.  But this is a new year and the Lakers were trying to prove that they have heart and is not afraid of going up against the powerful physical Boston Celtics team.  The Lakers were supposed to be at a disadvantage due to Andrew Bynaum being out with a knee injury.  Also comming off a tough back to back with Toronto last night no one can blame the Lakers if they come in a little sluggish agains the world champs, but damn that this is the Lakers vs. Celtics so throw all feelings out the window and let’s get it on.  The key in the 1st half was the bench scoring by Eddie House for Boston he was hitting three pointers and keeping the Celtics in the game.  The Lakers were playing solid but a familar problem came up for them his name was Lamar” were your ass is at” Odom?  Odom looked to be getting out man and head coach of the Lakers Phil Jackson had this to say about OdoM” Kobe will need to shoot a lot more if Odom who close to the basket don’t shoot.”  In the second half things got a little physical with Kobe and Rondo got into it getting a technical foul called on both players.  And in the fourth quarter Kevin Garnett fouled out so the Celtics the rest of the way had to play without Garnett.  Bryant rosed to the spotlight and hit a clutch 3 pointer to tie up the game and send it to overtime.  In overtime Lamar Odom decides to show up hits some clutch free throws and plays some tough defense and the Lakers come away with the win.  The Lakers with the win have the best record in the NBA at 40-9 and they snap the Celtics 12 game winning streak.  Now all the Lakers have to do is go to Cleveland and beat the Cavs on there floor for the first time this season and snap there home winning streak at 22.

Wonderful Land Of LALA-Lakers 92 Celtics 83!!!

Friday, December 26th, 2008 |

The Boston Celtics blew the Lakers out in game 6 by 42 points to help the Celitcs win the championship last season.  The Celtics came in the match up against the Lakers with the best record in 29 games in NBA history.  The Lakers coming into the game was 27-2 and have won 19 games in a row.  The Lakers coming off the road was not as sharp.  The Lakers loss two of three coming into the game.  But flat out this all is about what took place last season in the NBA finals and everyone wanted to see if the Lakers can stand up to the Celtics.  The L.A. Lakers was able to to stop 19 game winning streak of the Celtics.  The big time players for the Lakers was Kobe Bryant who lead all scores with 27 and the other two key players for the Lakers was Pau Gasol solid with 20 and now add the bench play of Trevor Ariza who only scored 2 points but his hussle effected the out come of the game.  As for the Celtics nothing to hang there head about the score was still tied under 3 minutes to go in the 4th.  The defensive play on Raja Rondo who was averaging 11 points per game only had 6 points yesterday was to the Lakers sucess who held the Celtics to only 83 points.  The Lakers with the win is now 24-5 the Celtics are 27-3 these two franchises will meet again in Boston this time in Febuary 2009.

Garnett Runs The ATL- Celtics 88 Hawks 85

Thursday, December 18th, 2008 |

Kevin Garnett is public basketball enemy no. 1 at least in the Phillips Arena.  Garnett and the Celtics came to Atlanta last night with a 15 game winning streak and when the game was over they now have a 16 game winning streak.  The Hawks played the defending champions tough but at the end it was Kevin Garnett proves why he is one of the best players in the NBA and will go down as one of the best of all time.  Garnett in the 4th quarter took over this game on the offensive side of the ball by scoring 10 points in the 4th quarter.  At the end of the Garnett stats were 18 points and 8 rebounds.   The Hawks almost was able to tie the game up with under 3 seconds but Joe Johnson missed a critcal free throw and that sealed the fate for the young Hawks.  Don’t get too upset Hawks you went up against a team who will more than likely win 70 games and win the Championship and go down as one of the best teams in NBA history.  And if it does happened it will be due the best team player in the NBA KEVIN GARNETT!!!

SAME OLE GREEN-CELTICS 90 CAVS 85!!

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008 |

For the 17th time in there franchise the Boston Celtics celebrated a championship in the Finals.  The Celtics opened up the new 2008/09 season against the Cleveland Cavaliers.  The Cavaliers lost to the Celtics last season in the postseason in a 7 game thriller.  The Cavaliers did and up grade on there team by getting Mo Williams.  This move was to help Lebron James on the scoring end.  But unfortunately it was the same result for the Cavaliers taking on the Boston Celtics.  The Celtics came away with the victory last night lead by Paul Pierce. Pierce scored 27 points and had this to say about last night game and getting his first ring of his career. “It’s moments like these that you cherish. Whenever you can raise that banner and grab that ring, and be there in front of the people closest to you, it’s very emotional,” Pierce said. “I’m just glad I pulled together in time so we could come out and play the game.”

As for Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers they played well but did not protect the ball very well.  The Cavaliers had 21 turnovers and James missed some key free throws in the 4th quarter. For James and the Cavaliers not only do they have to stop turning the ball over but there best player Lebron James must be better at the free throw line if not they will continue watching other teams get there ring while they watch.

Posey Watch

Wednesday, July 16th, 2008 |

james-posey-bet-on-boston-celtics.JPG

With a NBA Champion season under his belt James Posey would be stupid to say I want out of Bean Town.  Well, it looks like Posey is a smart man,  he is saying “Four More Years.”  31-yr-old Posey wants a four year contract with big bucks.  But can Danny give him a 4-yr deal worth $5 million.  Some say the Celtics are being greedy for not give Posey a deal like this.  Eddie House wants not part in the one-year deal the Celtics are trying to give him.  But you have to give Posey his props for smart negotiating.  Also could we see a certain Knick become a Celtic?
