Braves broadcast legend Skip Caray passed away yesterday Caray was 68. Caray was broadcast games for the Atlanta Braves for the past 33 years. Caray is the son of the famous Harry Caray and his son Chip Caray does TBS games and Atlanta Braves games. Skip Carey died in his sleep. Bobby Cox the manager of the Braves had this to say.
“We’ve all lost a very good friend,” “For me, he was a good buddy _ at the park and away from the park. We always had a lot of great laughs. He will be very sorely missed.” Caray will probably be known for the greatest call in Braves history. Sid Bream slid in and beat the tag from the Pirates to go to the Word Series.”Braves Win! Braves Win!” No Skip we win for what you’ve have given to us as baseball fans. You will be missed.

The Angels went and got themselves some offense. Mark Teixeira will now be on the Angels roster due to a trade from the Atlanta Braves. While with the Braves this season, Teixeira has 20 homeruns and a .283 batting average. The Angels, who have the best record in baseball with 65-40, have maybe clearly become the team to beat in all of baseball with a line up on Vlad Gurreo,Torri Hunter,Garrett Anderson and now Mark Teixeira. The Angels will be very hard to beat. As for the Braves, they get Casey Kotchman who is hitting .287 with 12 homeruns. With this move the Braves have offically given up on the 2008 MLB season.

The report has just come out and Chipper Jones and Tim Hudson have now been placed on the 15 day DL list. The Braves who had a horrible weekend in Philadelphia. Losing two out of three in the city of brothely love. The Braves who had big leads in both games that they lost might’ve have now waive the white towel on the 2008 season. The Braves just can’t keep no one healthy. Smoltz is out for the season due to a shoulder. Glavine is out due and injury and by the way Glavine is 41 so his days as a MLB baseball player are numbred. The Braves to make matters worse even have Brian Mcain who has been one of the best players on the team, maybe out for sometime due to a injury at home plate yesterday. The Braves now sit 7.5 games back of first place and its not even in the month of August. There has been talk that the Braves will be trading away first base slugger Mark Texitra. Therefore this campaign for the Braves is DEAD. The Braves who had a disapointing season from the outfield. Espcially when it comes to there bats, the biggest disapointment has to be Jeff Francoeur is batting .231 9 homeruns 45 RBI’S, so now one has wonder do you get this team back in order? With a payroll in the 80’s of million and one has to wonder is Bobby Cox pumped up to comeback to this Broken Braves team next year? A lot of questions for this franchise moving foward, but one question has been answered. The days of winning division titles and being a regular team in the post season are clearly over.

The 33 year old rookie Hiroki Kuroda. Pitched and outstanding game last night against the Braves. Kudora retired 21 batters in a row. But in the 8th inning first basemen Mark Teixeria hit a double to break up the perfect game. Brian Mcain the Braves catcher had this to say about Kuroda.
“He’s throwing 95 mile-per-hour sinkers that are just dropping off the table,” McCann said. “We couldn’t have done anything tonight to hit that guy. I don’t think with full rest we would have hit him tonight.” With the win Kuroda is 5-6 ERA 3.39. The Dodgers are now tied for first place in the N.L. West with the Arizona Diamondbacks.
