With the signing of Micheal Turner it seems the Falcons are now turning their attention to Glenn Dorsey in the draft. Now myself what Turner got from the Falcons is a lot for a back that willnot carry the ball 300 plus times in a season. With that said the move shows the Falcon organization is trying to move in the right direction. With the third pick in the draft Dorsey looks to be right there for the Falcons to take. Now the most pressing need is to fix the offensive line. Whether it is Joey Harrington or Chris Redman the o-line needs to be rebuilt. All in all I like the way the Falcons are going. Now Mr. Blank you need to stay in the luxury boxes and off the sideline and everything will be fine. Again I say Falcon fans stay patient good things will come.

Don’t worry Falcon fans because it is going to be alright. Yes you had to let go of soe of your favorite Falcons. To get where you want to go change has to happen. Thing are already looking up. The coin toss to decide if you would pick third or fifth went your way. The third pick in this year’s draft is the best possible spot you could be at. On one hand the quarterback of the future could land in your hands that being Matt Ryan. The running back of the future could be there in Darren McFadden. The defensive tackle in Glen Dorsey. The offensive tackle in Chris Long. Everything is going to be alright. If you can complete the trade with the Giants and get that big mouth over hyped corner off your hands you will be even better. That would give you another first round pick. With everything that has happened to you in the last year i.e Mike Vick and Bobby Petrino things could be worst. Yes you still at this moment can’t get that money back from Vick but even that is okay. That is not a cap hit. Look I know you haven’t had back to back winning seasons in your history but the future is bright. Even if Joey Harrinon is around another year that year will have stability and that is what you want right now. No the Super Bowl is not on the horizon but better days are. With a strong draft day you to can be a playoff contender not for just a season or two but for decades. So don’t listen to those people who moan and groan about Alge leaving he will be fine and so will you. Hang in there and be true fans. Stick by your team and you will reap the benefits. You are not that far away I promise.
Sincerly yours,
K-Boogie

Mr. Blank,
Arthur we need to talk. The franchise is out if whack. Since number 7 and his ordeals the team and the city have not been the same. Then you and Rich McKay go and hire Bobby Petrino. A coach who at one time was at a airport tarmac trying to take another man’s job that hadn’t been fired yet. That would tell you the kinda guy he is. I won’t go into him signing a 10-year contract only living up to one of those years. This franchise needs two things right away to stop the bleeding. One we need a quarterback and two we need a coach. Now as far as the coach part of this equation the man I think we need is Mike Singletary. He brings instant credibility and also a no nonsense type of attitude that as players either you show your toughness or you hit the highway. He has a championship pedigree and like I said before he can relate to today’s player. If any of these players today don’t know who Singletary is then they aren’t old enough to play for you anyway. Please as a man that lives in this city who really is not a fan of the Falcons if you want my attention then hire this man. (more…)

We all know that Arthur Blank owns the Atlanta Falcons and he signs all the checks. We also know that Rich McKay makes all the football decisions as far as hiring and firing coaches down to draft selections. With that being said should we blame McKay or Blank for this one? Up until Monday Blank described Petrino as the “CEO” of this team. Now that “CEO” has left this team high and dry. This next hire will be the third coach in four years and the previous two had their eyes on other jobs. Bobby Petrino’s move in the middle of the night looks a lot like the Baltimore Colts leaving in the middle of the night to get to Indy. With bad draft choices and this coach being hired basically over the phone where do the Falcons go from here? Is Rich McKay’s time up? More importantly should McKay’s time be up? Countless picks wasted on wide receivers that take three to four years to pan out. An offensive line that has been the league’s worst for over three years. So the last question I have is my first question, Who is to Blame?
