Allen Iverson will be going to the city of
Motown. Iverson was traded to the Pistons for Chauncey Billups and Antonio McDysee. On the front it looks like the Nuggets got away with the best move here. But check out the chess move General Manger Joe Dumars really made. Iverson is in his last season of a contract and has the same agent as Lebron James and Richard Hamilton who by the way yesterday sign a 3 year extension. Now when Lebron James in 2010 goes on the free agent market the Pistons will now more than likely have this on there roster. Iverson,
Hamilton, Prince and Rasheed Wallace, and have enough cap room to pick up Lebron James. Can you say check mate by Joe Dumars. The Nuggets finally got better defensively and now this is the last run for Carmelo Anthony. Anthony will be the first option on the Nuggets and will be allowed to carry this team offensively. Chauncey Billups will be taking control of this ball club but his biggest contribute to the Nuggets will be the leadership on the floor. The Nuggets with this move might’ve got themselves back into the playoff hunt in the wild, wild west, maybe with the addition of Billups Kenyon Martin can finally step his game up and become a force on the Nuggets.

The L.A. Lakers were coming into a wild enviornment in Colorado winning the first two games at home in the Staples Center with ease there was no way the Lakers were coming into the Nuggets home and win with ease right? Kobe Bryant who has won 3 championships but hasn’t won a playoff round since Shaquille O’Neal has left. The story of this game is the lack of scoring from the second highest scoring team in the NBA avg 110 per game tonight they had only 84. The two headed scoring combo of Iverson and Anthony was flat out embrassing they shot 10-38 from the field which lead to 31 points. As a team the Nuggets shot at dismal 32% 32-86 from the floor. The Lakers cruised the entire game had a lot of energy and was really ready for a war but the Nuggets was just ready to run there mouth and embrassed themself on national t.v. There were 5 players for the Lakers that were in double figures lead by Kobe Bryant with 22 and a big time spark from Derek Fisher with 14. Fisher hit 4 three pointers in the game and was a leader on the floor the Lakers with the win has taken a comanding 3-0 and is looking to put the Nuggets out of there misery on Monday night.

Tonight in Philadelphia Allen Iverson will return back as a Denver Nugget it’s been 15 months since he left Philadelphia Iverson played 10 seasons as a 76er and had the franchise on his back for a decade. Iverson has had a hall of fame career mostly with the 76ers by winning scoring titles taking his team to the finals with Larry Brown his head coach and making numerous all star teams. Iverson a career 27 points scorer will go down as the best little man to ever grace the hardwood. Iverson who is a very emotional should be on edge tonight and the Philadelphia fans who are know to be brutal will no doubt give Iverson a big time standing ovation for all the good basketball this guy have given them. Philly show some heart tonight and make the sports world proud and give it up for the one and only Allen Iverson.
