A GIANT LOSS-OSI UMENYIORA OUT FOR THE SEASON !!!

Written on August 24, 2008 – 12:21 pm | by Harry Robinson |

When Michael Strahan announced his retirement from football.  One of the reasons why Giants fans didn’t go to crazy was due to Umenyiora taking the place of the hall of fame defensive player. Umenyiora last season lead the Giants in sacks with 13 and  Umenyiora was part of the defensive line that put Tom Brady on his butt throughout the whole Super Bowl 42. But last night in a pre-season game Umenyiora blew out his knee and was carted off the field and the reports just came out the Umenyiora will now be out for the season. Justin Tuck of the Giants had this to say

“I talked to him when he was in the locker room, in the training room, “Obviously, he was down. It’s unfortunate when any injury occurs, but hopefully, it is nothing serious and he will not miss any time.”

As a Giant fan bring back Michael Strahan we need you.  But the truth is Strahan is not Brett Farve and he is enjoying retirement, so as a Giant fan don’t look for Strahan on opening day September 7th at home to run on the field and help the Giants beat the RedSkins.  Look for the Giants to ask Mathias Kiwanuka to take the spot for Umenyiora.

GOLD STATUS- U.SA. 118 SPAIN 107 !!!

Written on August 24, 2008 – 9:14 am | by Harry Robinson |
LeBron James and Jason KiddTeam USA

The mission is complete.  The U.S.A Men’s Basketball Team beat Spain for the Gold Medal.  This game was not as easy as the previous game they had with Spain.  In the first meeting the U.S. beat Spain by 37.  But tonight it was a totally different story.  The U.S. ran into trouble early when Lebron James and Kobe Bryant in the first quarter had two fouls a piece.  The U.S. getting into foul trouble early in the game made Spain stay in the game. But Dwayne Wade and Chris Paul stepped up and gave the U.S. a nine point lead going into the half.  The U.S. in the second half had issues with the Spain scoring in the paint Mark and his brother Pau Gasol control the boards.  And also Rudy Fernandez who scored 22 points to lead Spain.  The U.S. team in the second half turned to the NBA’S MVP Kobe Bryant who hit a clutch three pointer and was foul to make it a four point play.  Kobe lead the U.S. team with 13 points in the second half and had a total of 20 points. Dwayne Wade lead all scores with 27.  Spain gave it everything they got but too much scoring by the U.S. and the Redeem team won a Gold Medal.  The Gold is the first one for the U.S. since the 2000 Olympics.

One More To Go- USA 101 Argentina 81!!!

Written on August 22, 2008 – 10:59 am | by Harry Robinson |

US players

The U.S. Mens team is now one game away from winning gold.  The U.S. team went on a 30-11 run in the 1st quarter and never looked back.  Agentina made a run in the second quarter and cut the U.S. lead to 9 points. But U.S. came out and put the game away.  The leading scorer for the U.S. Team was Carmelo Anthony with 21.  The key to the U.S. win was the defending of the three point shot. Argentina was only 26% from the floor at three point range. On a side note I hope the San Antonio Spurs fans wasn’t watching this game.  Manu Ginobli injuired his ankel and was out of the game.  Ginobli has injuried this ankel before and has now done it again.  The U.S. will now take on the Spain for the Gold Medal.

A little help from the WhiteSox, Please!

Written on August 22, 2008 – 8:55 am | by Otis |

We need some help! Can the WhiteSox provide us with the help that we need in their  three game series with the Rays. Those dam Rays do not want to let up, in their last 10 games they were 7-3 while we went 6-4. If this continues we are going to have to make a serious push for the wildcard. Which we are currently tied with the Twins for first place.

We are also going to help ourselves by sweeping the series with the Blue Jays that starts tonight. The White Sox are going to do us a huge favor by sweeping the Rays in their three game series that would  put us back to being a 1.5 out of first.

By Sunday we are going to be back in the hunt, watch out Rays we are coming!!!!  What has happen to those Yankees, can we say not relevant anymore.
