Mark Ecko and the Baseball Hall of Fame cannot come to an agreement on what todo with Barry Bonds 756th record Homerun ball. Ecko wanted to loan the ball to the Hall of Fame but the Hall will only accept the ball if its donated because then it would be a permanent exhibit. Can’t we all just come to an agreement. All the controversy surrounding the ball is a little ridiculous to me. I believe the ball should be in the Hall of Fame because it is a record in baseball if some people like it or not. Barry has never tested positive for steriods, so until he has been proved he had taken steriods the record and the ball stand by themselves on top. This will be a never ending story because nobody will ever come foward in the case. People have their own opinions this is mine.

Tiger Woods feeling the best he has felt in 10 years after having knee surgery. If the guy can win a major on a bad leg and has won all those tournaments while not feeling great for 10 years can it only get better in the future? If I were a golfer I would have to be wondering what more can I do to improve my game. Tiger will eventually pass Jack in all time major wins but where will it end 30 or more. The PGA has to love hearing the greatest player of all time is back at 100 percent. They can see the dollars rolling in for atleast 10-15 more years. Good luck Tiger on your rehab and to the rest of the PGA keep your head up.

Fresno St finished off Georgia last night with 6-1 victory and won the best of three series. It was a tough series with Georgia winning game one then Fresno St. came back and won the next two with their back against the wall. This is the lowest seed ever to win a championship. this was the school’s first in baseball. Fresno had been on the road since May 15th were they had to play as underdogs the whole time they were gone. They won their conference tourney, then had to beat nationally ranked San Diego twice to make it to the Super Regional against #3 seed Arizona St. While in Tempe against ASU the Bulldogs lost the first game then had to win the next two games to make it to Omaha. Once Fresno made it to Omaha the journey didn’t end but they won their first two games to be in the drivers seat on their side of the bracket. That meant facing North Carolina to make it to the championship were UNC took game one 4-3 forcing a game two where Fresno adavanced with a 6-1 victory to face Georgia for the title. Georgia didn’t lose a game until Fresno St. won 19-10 in game 2 to force a game 3. Fresno took control of game three from the begining and never giving it up winning 6-1. Fresno willed their way to the championship with scappy play, good calls by their manager, and by just playing baseball. Awesome job Fresno St hope you remember your way home.

Despite being told not to play by doctors at the US Open Tiger Woods went ahead and played and won. That will be the last time we see him swing a club this year. Atleast he won one major and not even being 100 percent. Tiger is going to have season ending knee surgery on a torn ligament in his left knee that he injured 10 months ago. Tiger tore his ACL while jogging at the British Open last year. Woods also suffered two stress fractures in his left tibia two weeks before the US Open and ingnored doctors orders not to play.
Tiger had arithscopic surgery on April 15th to clean out cartilage in his left knee, in hopes of being enough so he could play the rest of the year. It is uncertain when Woods will have surgery but it will take 6 to 8 months rehab before he his ready to return. Tiger will miss his first Major of his career when the British Open is played. Tiger did join Jack Nicklaus as the only players to win the grand slam events three time over. Those would be the US Open, the Masters, the British Open and the PGA Championship.

The College World Series has had it twists and turns so far. On Monday Miami had to play Florida St in an elimination game. The outcome went to the Canes 7-5. The two bitter rivals played fair as Florida St was sent packing again without a Bob Martin championship. In the evening matchup Stanford looked to have Georgia on the ropes but don’t count the Dawgs. There bats awoke at the right time in the eighth inning to lift Georgia to a 4-3 victory. The Bulldogs are in the Semi Finals and get a couple days rest as they wait to see who can prevail between Stanford and Miami tonight at 7 on ESPN2.
Bracket number 2 has the biggest surprise of them all as the underdog Fresno St. team is in the driver seat with a 5-3 victory over North Carolina last night. This scrappy Bulldog team will be a tough out for the resst of the tourney. North Carolina fell to the loser bracket where they will face LSU. LSU won yesterday afternoon by scoring four runs in the bottom of the ninth to eliminate Rice. The North Carolina vs LSU game is on Thursday at 7 on ESPN.
