Cliff Lee won his 15th game yesterday. As the Indians beat the Rays 5-2. The Indians are unbeaten taking on the Rays this season.”Honestly, I didn’t have my best stuff,”Most of the innings I felt I had to battle quite a bit. They put me to the test petty good.”
Clay Buchholz is now 2-7 for the season. Buchholz gave up 4 runs and seven hits in six innings. The Red Sox has there issues in Kansas City they’re now 3-7 taking on the Royals in there ball park.
Joba Chamberlin was not to sharp last night taking on the Rangers. Chamberlin gave up 5 runs. But that’s the least of Chamberlin problems. Last night Chamberlin was taking out of the game due to a stiff shoulder and maybe miss his next start. The Yanks lost last night due to a two out bottom of the ninth grand slam homerun Marlon Byrd for the Rangers to give them the win 9-5.

Now that Elton Brand is gone. The Clippers trade for Marcus Camby. Camby who is known for his defensive play. Will now be with Baron Davis to try and help make the Clippers be respectful again. Remeber a few seasons ago the Clippers almost went to the NBA Western Conference Finals. But they lost to the Suns in a game 7 thriller. The Clippers which is not like in there history is now being aggressive in the off season. And now wants to be a contender in the Western Conference. Camby has been in the league since 1996 and this is what Camby has done.

The Rays continue there winning ways. Last night Matt Garza went 7 strong innings gave up only 1 run. And the Rays beat the Red Sox last night 3-1. With the win Rays now have a 2.5 lead in the American League East. Garza with the win last night is 7-4 for the season. Tim Wakefield the starting pitcher for the Red Sox had this to say”These guys aren’t like they used to be,” Wakefield said. “They’re pretty good over there.” Terry Francona manager of the Red Sox had this to say about yesterday’s day game”I don’t really care to talk about who we’re missing. We showed up to win and they outplayed us, “That’s what matters to us. … Regardless of who you have out there, you either win or you don’t.” Francona is reference to David Oritz is not in the line up. The Red Sox have been struggling to score runs. Will the Red Sox get swept tonight? It’s good chance they might do to they’ve not won yet in Tropicanna Field this season.

The Boston Celitcs weakness was that they are not deep. All they have is the big three and thats it. Well tonight a young man name Leon Powe step up to be the star of Game 2. Leon Powe shot 6-7 from the floor, and scored 21 points in 15 minutes. Powe is one of the unknown guys who comes out of no where to become huge story in the Finals. Head Coach of the Celtics Doc Rivers had this to say about Leon Powe performance.” Tonight he was terrfic. I was happy Leon was able to score in the post.” It happends all the time. Weather its the Superbowl with David Tyree to now Leon Powe. The Celtics out hussled the Lakers all night. Boston was lead by Paul Pierce with 28 points. Pierce was 9-16 from the floor. (more…)

The New Orelans Hornets continue to dominate the Dallas Mavericks and now have a 2-0. The Mavericks had no answer for the Hornets last night the game was unwatchable Chris Paul was able to do whatever he wanted whenever he wanted. The Hornets in the 1st half scored 39 points which set a franchise record for the Hornets. Paul also last night by scoring 32 points 17 assist is now the 8th NBA player in history to have 30 points and 10 assist. Bryon Scott head coach for the Hornets had this to say about Chris Paul”Sitting there watching Chris really develop into the best point guard in this league, it’s amazing to watch how he’s really risen his game to another level,” Hornets coach Byron Scott said. “But that’s what great players do. He’s definitely one of the best on this league right now.” The Mavs on the other hand might be playing for Avery Johnson head coaching job it’s clearly the Mavs are not in a good spot now and it’s going to take a “GREAT” coaching job to get the Mavs back into this series Josh Howard with 10,Kidd 7 these player have to produce more to give the Mavs a chance to at least to win a game in this series.

The Boston Celtics came into the Izod center tonight a little upset due to the last time they was on the hardwood the Celtics came up short with a lost to the BoBcats at home, so eventhought the Celtics have the best record in the NBA the Boston three wanted to send a message to the whole NBA.
