Packers “go big” with the 9th pick
The Packers have had enough of Adrian Peterson and now have to deal with Jay Cutler and the new look Bears, and let’s not forget the upstart Lions. Packers have decided to do something about it with the 9th pick……………
B.J. Raji (DT) Boston College, 6′2 337 lbs, this guy can stop the run, sack the QB, break double teams (and beat Rich Eisen in the 40 yrd dash). Happy-go-lucky off the field but mean as a rattlesnake on the field. The Packers will look to Raji to keep O-Linemen off A.J.Hawk and Kevin Burnett.
The pack was not done in the first round either taking
Clay Matthews III (OLB) USC, 6′3″ 240 lbs. Talk about the first family of the NFL. Clay Matthews played with the 49ers in the 50’s, Clay Matthews II played with the Browns and Falcons from 78-96, Uncle Bruce Matthews played with the Oilers/Titans from 83-01, and with 2 other brothers that also play. Considered the best of the USC LB’s (Matthews, Cushing, Malaluga) a sack machine, and also play in coverage. Matthews will play oppisite of Kampman in the Pack sack attack.
