****SIGH**** How bad did
Florida put a beating on UGA? Let’s just say if this was a boxing match the ref would’ve and stop the match from too many blows. The UGA offensive line looked out right bad. And let’s also add to that a poor defensive performance as well. No pressure on Tebow who had time all day in the pocket and was able to have one of his finest performances as a Florida Gator. Tebow went 10/13 for 154 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Gators had a balance attack. The Gators rushed for a total of 185 yards and the passing game was 188 yards. Once again this is a clear sign that the Georgia Bulldogs were dominated on both lines of scrimmages. Matthew Stafford who may have played in his last UGA against
Florida game, had bad showing.
Stafford was 18/33 for 265 yards and 3 interceptions. The biggest play in the game was a interception in the 3rd quarter to set up a 1 yard touchdown run by Tim Tebow who now holds the Gators record for most rushing touchdowns with 39. “It doesn’t get any sweeter than this,” Tebow said. “We didn’t have to talk about it. We just had to go out there and show that we’re a different team and prove that we worked extremely hard. We didn’t want that to happen again to us.”
Knowshon Moreno who had his way with
Florida last year rushing for 188 yards was held in check this time around.
Moreno rushed for only 65 yards on 17 carriers no touchdowns and 1 turnover. And Urben Myer the
Florida head coach to pour salt in the wound took two extra time outs at the end of the game I guess to get a little payback against UGA who last year ran on the field after scoring a touchdown. Mark Richt head coach of UGA had this to say“To me, the rules say you’ve got three timeouts per half,” Richt said. “They can use as many as they want. It’s in the rules. They used their timeouts, and they have a right to do that.” Nevertheless
Florida will now move in the poll ranking and continue there bid to winning and SEC title. As for the Gators SEC title out of the picture and now National Championship out of the picture what is to play for? That will be Mark Richt biggest challenge as the head of UGA can he motivate his players too keep playing hard for the rest of the season?
