While I was away it seems that some things have changed in the NFL.  Lets see………Cowboys are not who we thought they were..(thx Dennis Green).  The Falcons are better than we all thought.  The Colts are a average team at best.  The Cardinals are leading their division. The Patriots can win without Brady.  Now Mike Nolan  is the latest coach to get fired in the middle of the season by the 49er’s.  It is safe to say that we all knew this was going to happen sooner or later.  Nolan in 4 seasons with the niners posted a 18-37 record with his best season a 7-9 campaign, just could not get the Niners on the right track in a very weak NFC WEST division were the Cardinals are leading with the only winning record of 4-2.  Linebacker great, Hall of Famer, and superbowl champion with the 85 bears Mike Singletary will take over as coach.  The Niners have just made the best move in 4 years, Singletary is a firm and straight to the point kind of coach that we have seen that wins championships.  The reports were that the niners were going to wait till the bye week to make the move, but I guess that the Niner Brass did not want to wait that long.  So what will Singletary do to change the fate of the niners this season?  that remain to be seen.  My opinion is that really there is not a lot he can do till after the season.  Maybe he could get these guys motivated to play at 100% in every game no matter the outcome and maybe they could make a run.     MAYBE????????
