1 MORE TO GO FOR PHILLY !!!

Written on October 27, 2008 – 8:46 am | by Harry Robinson |

Joe Blanton

Ryan Howard went 42 at bats without a homerun.  Now the MLB homerun king is in a homerun zone.  Howard in his last two games has hit 3 homeruns and add Jimmy Rollins who has been tearing the cover off the ball the Phillies now have a commanding 3-1 lead.

As for the Rays they continue to struggle at the plate.  Evan Longoria and Carlos Pena are 0 for 29 with 15 strikeouts.  And going up against a

Philadelphia team who has been hitting the long ball, the Rays are in serious trouble.

But all is not lost for the Rays if they can win tonight against the best pitcher in the postseason Cole Hamles.  The Rays then will go home with all the advantages pointing there way.  But it is a tall order for the Rays who have had a magical season going from worse to first.  But for the Phillies it has been 25 years since the city of

Philadelphia has had a winner in the major sports. Cole Hamles will tonight only be pitching for a win of championship for the Phillies.  But also he is got and entire 25 year losing on his shoulders as well.  Tonight Hamles can get rid of all demon’s with a win tonight at home in

Philadelphia
