Dante’ Culpepper retires

Written on September 4, 2008 – 12:56 pm | by chanceblack |

Dante’ Culpepper has retired after 9 seasons in the NFL.  Injuries and poor play has made the one time Madden Cover boy hang up the cleats.  You all remember Culpepper to Moss connection in Minnesota or as it is called in Madden circles the Moss bomb. &seasons in Minnesota, 1 in Maimi, and 1 in Oakland Culpepper finishes with 22,422 yrds passing and 147 TD passes, 2536 rushing yards and 33 rushing TDs. Culpepper has not had a 3000 yrd passing season since 2004.  Plagued with injuries and losing seasons with Minnesota he was cut by the Vikings and landed in Miami, where he could not stay healthy and was eventually cut by the Dolphins.  Picked up by the Raiders Culpepper still could not find his stroke and was cut by the Raiders in favor of JaMarcus Russell. With a lot of big names still looking for work and teams not wanting to take a risk on the injury prone QB, he found it better to just retire.  Well I for one will miss Culpepper he was a beast of a QB in his time.  He was bigger than most LB’s at 6′4″ and 260lbs and a rocket arm.  Most defenses had to figure out a way to bring the big man down.  You can even see JaMarcus Russellis a mold of what Culpepper used to be.  He will be missed, this is the way I will always remember Culpepper!!!!!!!!!
