A New Star in the A!!!!!!!!!! Falcons 34 Lions 21

Atlanta surprised the Lions with a 34 point barrage and some “thunder & lightning” running by Mike “Burner” Turner and Jerious Norwood. The best part was rookie Matt Ryan looked good and in control through out the game. A opening 62 yrd strike to “stone hands” Mike Jenkins shook the Lions up and they could not recover after that. The Lions did rally back, but could not stop Tuner & Norwood long enough to get a real shot at the lead. The Lions D could not stop the run which left the door open for some play-action passes. Ryan did not have to win the game, he let the running backs do the job and he did not make any mistakes. That is what the Falcons needed and I hope they continue to do. The Falcons face the Bucs next week, while the Lions will face the Packers. Concerns: the Falcons D will have to play much better in stopping the pass, allowing J.Kitna to throw for 262 yrds and 2 TD’s.
