Boston Knocks Out N.Y. !!!

The Boston Red Sox beat the Cleveland Indians last night 5-4. And with the win is now going to the postseason to defend there Championship. This seasson wasn’t easy for the champs. They had to overcome a lot of adversity. Josh Beckett the ace of the staff being hurt a good part of the season, losing Curt Schilling and also losing there most dangerous hitter on there team Manny Ramirez who was traded away to the Dodgers. The Red Sox are not lacking confidence David Ortiz had this to say about getting to the postseason.”We’re dangerous in the playoffs, who wore goggles to protect his eyes from the champagne. “Everybody knows that.” As for there biggest nemesis the New York Yankees with the Red Sox win against the Indains. The Yankees run of making the postseason is over at 13. The Yankees who closed down there stadium this week can now close down there season. Derek Jeter captian of the Yankees had this to say about not making the playoffs.”It basically boils down to we weren’t good enough, “That’s the only way you can put it. Our team didn’t play well enough the whole season in order to get to where we needed to be. It’s a huge disappointment. That’s pretty much all you can say.” The Yankees will have to not only watch the Red Sox in October. But to add to the misery the Yankees maybe having there old manager Joe Torre who lead them for 12 straight seasons to the playoffs. Now lead the Dodgers to the playoffs. Oh yeah by the way the Mets there cross town rivals have a solid chance of being in the wild card. The Yankees will have a long off season to ask themselves WHAT HAPPENED?
