Ryan Howard belted his 45 major league leading homerun last night to lift the Phillies past the Braves last night. Howard not only is leading the league in homeruns but also in RBI’s as well with 136. The Phillies who have won 5 in a row and also have won 7 in a row at Turner Field. The Phillies are now back on top of the National League East. A half game in front of the Mets. Ryan Howard of the Phillies had this to say.”Maybe it’s just the pennant races are heating up, “I’m just trying to go out there and do what I can to help my team.” After the Phillies play the Braves they will have to take on the pesty Florida Marlins. The Phillies and Mets will probably end up tied at the end of the season. This means a one game playoff winner take all at the end of the year.
