DOWN GOES No. 1-OREGON ST 27 USC 21!!
Not since 1967 has Oregon St. beat a No.1 team in the country. That team in 1967 was USC. Well last night history repeat itself again. The Oregon St. Beavers pulled off arguably the biggest upset in College footabll history with a win last night. Oregon St. running back Jacquizz Rodgers the true freshman rushed for 186 yard on 37 carriers and 2 touchdowns. His brother James Rodgers had 6 catches for 36 and 2 touchdowns. The biggest was the catch before the half time. When it look like to be and interception and the ball came out of USC defender and James Rodgers off a bounce of the hands caught it for a touchdown. Quaterback for the Beavers Lyle Moevao the Junior wasn’t outstanding but Moevao managed the game. Moevao was 18/28 for 167 yards the most important stat was no turnovers. As for USC what happened to the best team in the country. USC just thought if they showed up they will just win. Joe McKnight the running back for USC only rushed for 10 yards on 7 carriers. Mark Sanchez 18/29 for 227 and three touchdowns. Sanchez had a rough first half as total USC was under 100 yards. Pete Caroll head coach of USC had this to say.
“I’m beside myself,”They didn’t hide what they were doing, they just did it. We couldn’t stop it. We couldn’t tackle.”
Mark Sanchez help drive the Trojans to two touchdowns back to back in the second half. But when it came to in the 4th quater to tie the game Sanchez over threw the reciver and was picked off to set up Rodgers to take it in and help the Beavers pull off the upset 27-21. Now with the lost is USC out of the National Championship Game? My answer is “HELL YEAH“
