After an embrassing 5-7 season last year, the Nebraska Cornhuskers are looking to take over in the Big 12 North.  Back in the days you never had to ask who is leading in the Big 12, it was always the same answer……..The Cornhuskers, but now a days its not so green on this side of the grass.  Now it seems like most people are talking about Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas Tech and even Kansas.  In the coaches’ poll the Huskers are placed 36th nationally and Sports Illustrated has them at a even lower 45th place.  Husker junior saftey Larry Asante said the with the new coach Bo Pelini in the mix “the sky is the limit.”  Most people are not taking the team serious and that is just adding fuel to this burning Huskers team that is ready to show the nation that they have what it takes to get back on top.  The Huskers are being looked at as underdogs this year and surprisingly that is were they want to be.  “Were not getting talked about and that’s a good opportunity for us to kind of break out and surprise people,” said Husker senior wide receiver Tood Peterson.  We need to get out there and prove it.  The Huskers season starts August 30th against Western Michigan, this game will be a home game.
