Camp Talk AFC WEST
What was once known as the wild, wild, west is more like the mild, mild, west. BRONCOS,RAIDERS,CHARGERS,CHIEFS have always had some classic battles for AFC WEST supremacy. ELWAY is replaced with CUTLER, FOUTS with RIVERS, STABLER with RUSSELL, MONTANA with CROYLE, AHHH the glory days. Well anyway the Chargers are now the class of the West and no-one is really close to them as of yet.
With recent events…….Cutler and Diabietes, Rod Smith retiring, Jevon Walker gone, Travis Henry can’t stay clean The Broncos are in a state of possibly rebuilding for the future. Offensively the running game will rely on Selvin Young & Micheal Pittman. WRs B.Marshall & K Colbert & TE D.Graham are average at best. So don’t expect big numbers from the O. On Defense C.Bailey,D.Bly, J.Lynch are aging fast and probably don’t have much left. D.Williams and B.Bailey will have to step up a lot to keep this Defense competetive. Prediction: 7-9 playoffs: NO
With the draft the Chiefs had you can say that the future looks bright, but will Herm Edwards be a part of it? Glenn Dorsey will have to have a outstanding rookie year. B.Flowers and P.Surtain are nice at corner. LB D.Edwards will have to step-up as the leader. Offensively well it starts with L.Johnson will he be healthy and ready to run? Jaamal Charles will provide some relief, but will it be enough? D.Bowe did extremely well last season and T.Gonzales always performs if healthy. Questions at QB have me wondering is B.Croyle ready? Prediction: 6-10 playoffs: no
The Silver & Black need to find a way to get Al Davis to give up being the GM and C.E.O. Because it is clear that Davis has no clue anymore. Davis is a solid owner but a sorry GM. Drafting D.McFadden may seem like a good move, but who is going to open the lanes for him? At least 2 guys on the O-Line are Busts. Warren Sapp retiring must have been a surprise. Asomugha & Hall are good at corner, M.Huff will have to step-up to make this secondary a potent one. Defense is good enough to make a run, but the Offense is not good enough by a long shot. Will J.Walker be mentally ready and can R.Curry hadle the extra pressure? QB J.Russell maybe running for his life. Prediction: 2-14 Playoffs: no
The West belongs to the Bolts (barring a serious meltdown). This team know they have the big 2 (Pats & Colts) taking them serious. L.T. will have to come strong this season in ALL games. Rivers and his WR corp should be working out together to get that mesh they will need to take pressure off Tomlinson. Gates should still come-up big at TE. Defensively the Chargers are at the top of the class. Questions at Saftey can make this team vulnerable. Merriman and Castillo will need to get pressure on the QB to relieve any doubts. Predictions: 11-5 Playoffs: yes

Dude, you should do your homework. The broncos clearly LET henry and javon go cause they weren’t even helping. They went 7-9 WITHOUT them. If you did your homework you’d see that Matt Prater was 7-8 from over 40 yards on the 2nd day of camp. And if you again did your research you’d see Cutler’s diabetees hurt him last season when he dropped 30 lbs. but now he’s up to the right weight and has it under control. I’m not saying that the broncos are going to do super good or anything, they could very well go 7-9, but you should atleast do more research.

in response to your comment Walker and Henry are better than Young & Colbert. Prater will not start, Cutler’s Diabietes is under control true. But it will effect him on game day. this is just camp for now. The facts are that the Broncos are not the same team anymore. releasing John Lynch doesn’t help them either
