Camp Talk AFC EAST

Bout time football has started up, Thank the gods!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NFL Camps have offically opened up. Lots of moves and interesting trangressions that happen in the off-season. Now the road to Tampa starts here. So lets look at some of the camps around the NFL and see what needs to be addressed. Lets start with the AFC EAST: PATRIOTS, BILLS, DOLPHINS, JETS. The odds-on favorite for the superbowl is in this division. But not so fast there are 2 teams that have also gotten better and will make life a little harder for the Patriots. So lets break them down and see whats really going on.

Buffalo Bills QB battle brewing between Losman & Edwards, If you have a battle at this postion then you have a problem. Marshawn Lynch was given a break by Roger Goodell, lets hope he uses it. Can rookie corner McKelvin and free agent pick-up Marcus Stroud make this defense a force? Prediction: 9-7 Playoffs: no

Miami Dolphins Bill Parcells has worked his magic and has given this team a blueprint for a rebuilding process that will hopefully make the Fish relevent. McCown,Beck,Henne?????? Can Ricky Williams & Ronnie Brown last the whole season? Joey Porter needs to play more and talk less. Ted Ginn will need to be a mirror image of Steve Smith. Jake long will have to prove he is worth all the money the Fish shelled out. Prediction: 3-13 playoffs: uuuhhh…..no

New England Patriots After losing the Superbowl, can this team rebound and go on another undefeated run? Maroney will need to run a lot harder. Wes Welker secret is out, can he be a good number 2? Jarod Mayo takes the place of future HOF Junior Seau, can he give the LB Corps some new life? Losing Asante Samuels hurt. F.Bryant and W.Allen will be tested often. Where is the pass rush? Prediction: 15-1 Playoffs: AFC Championship

New York Jets The Jets did their best Dan Snyder imitation by opening the checkbook and sign a lot of free agents. Could one still be in the works?(Brett Farve?). Pennington or Clemens or maybe Ainge at QB? The O-Line will need to help T.Jones and the running game to take pressure off the QB (whoever that maybe). Revis and Miller are young corners bringing in Ahmad Carroll will help. Kris Jenkins will need to do for the Jets what he did for the Panthers for so long……..STOP the RUN. L.Coles and J.Cotchery are ok WRs but do they scare you? Prediction: 8-8 Playoffs: no
