MOOSE- Yanks 5 Twins 1 !!!

Written on July 23, 2008 – 7:11 pm | by Harry Robinson |

At the begining of the season.  The thoughts about Mike Mussina was that he is done.  This is his last season as a Yankee.  Mussina will never win 300 games and the Yankees will be lucky if he can win 10 games. Mussina struck out 7 and didn’t give up a walk. Mussina in total went 8 innings and just look almost untouchable.  The New York Yankee Crowd was chanting “MOOSE”. Mussina had this to say” Last year I physically couldn’t do what I wanted to do. The whole year was miserable,”  The bats for the Yanks was solid also.  Rodriguez and Christian were the hitting stars for the Yanks.  But no doubt about it this game was all about Mike Mussina.  Who last season was 11-10 with a career high ERA 5.15.   The win for the Yanks is there 10th in a row at home this is the best home winning streak for the Yanks since Sept 9th 1998 to April 14th 1998, and there 7th in a row after the all star break.  “We did a real nice job during this homestand,”  “It’s been a real nice stretch for us.” Joe Girardi manager of the New York Yankees.
