The Mets won there 8th game in a row this season.  Martinez who started the game for Mets only pitched 4 innings.  Martinez who for the first three innings without giving up a hit.  Martinez was replaced by Carlos Muniz who pitched two scorless innings.  The bullpen was outstanding getting the ball to the closer Billy Wagner.  And Wagner shut the door for the Mets. The scoring for the Mets Fernando Tatis drove in a run, Jose Reyes homered and B Schneider drove in a run.  The Mets who have 8 in a row have been averaging close to 6 runs a game.  The batting average .316 10 homeruns with a pitching ERA 2.16.  The Phillies who lost today to the Diamondbacks.  The Mets are now only .5 out of first place.  Kudos to one Jerry Emanuel.
