College World Series

Written on June 11, 2008 – 7:04 am | by david |

The Road to Omaha has finally arrived as play will begin on Saturday and last until June 24th or 25th if necessary. Six of the top Eight national seeds survived the Super Regionals. Miami, North Carolina, Florida St, Rice, LSU and Georgia all advanced as to be expected. Stanford and Fresno St are the surprise teams to be in Omaha. All the games are televised on ESPN and ESPN2.

I will go out on a limb haha and take the Canes to win it all and be the first ACCteam ever to win the title, but Miami will be going for its 5th Championship the other four titles they were part  of the Big East Conference. I will pick them to face the Tar Heels who will have to settle on being Bridesmaids for the third year in a row. The past two years North Carolina lost to Oregon St in the Championship. Snce there won’t be many sporting events on check out the future stars of tomorrow at the College World Series.
