What Monkey

The monkey is gone and now the world can turn right side up. The Nascar gods gave Dale Jr. a special gift for his dad on Fathers Day. Jr also gave Rick Hendrick his team owner a gift by getting the first of hopefully many wins for Hendrick Motorsports. It was ever fitting Dale Jr. running on fumes as he crossed the white line. He made his last pit stop with 55 laps remaining and Jr. had to somehow saved enough fuel to make it the six laps he was short on fuel. What a gamble, thanks to a Nascar offical getting in the way of Matt Kenseth in the pits helped Little E to his first victory in 76 starts. Now everybody can go cover something else or now they will be saying when or can he win a championship now?The final standings were Dale Jr 1st, Kasey Kahne 2nd, Matt Kenseth 3rd, Brian Vickers 4th, Tony Stewart 5th, Jimmie Johnson 6th, Carl Edwards 7th, David Ragan 8th, Elliot Sadler 9th and Jaimie McMurray round out the top 10. Kyle Busch still has the lead over Jeff Burton by 32 points and Dale Jr only 84 points as they head to Sonoma,California for next weeks road race. I would also like to say congrats to Joey Logano on his first win in The Nationwide Series after only three starts. He just turned 18 three weeks ago allowing him to start his Nationwide debut and we will see him sometime this year in a Cup car.
