The Boston Celitcs weakness was that they are not deep.  All they have is the big three and thats it.  Well tonight a young man name Leon Powe step up to be the star of Game 2.  Leon Powe shot 6-7 from the floor, and scored 21 points in 15 minutes.  Powe is one of the unknown guys who comes out of no where to become huge story in the Finals. Head Coach of the Celtics Doc Rivers had this to say about Leon Powe performance.” Tonight he was terrfic. I was happy Leon was able to score in the post.”  It happends all the time.  Weather its the Superbowl with David Tyree to now Leon Powe.  The Celtics out hussled the Lakers all night.  Boston was lead by Paul Pierce with 28 points.  Pierce was 9-16 from the floor. 

The Los Angeles Lakers had rough time tonight.  The first three quarters the Celtics was in control but in the 4th quarter the Celtics who pride themselves with defense, let there guard down.  The Lakers out scored the Celtics 41-25.  Bryant went for 11-23 for 30 points.  But the most glaring point for the Lakers point of view was the officials. Kobe had three fouls and also got himself a technical.  The Lakers in the first three quarters was upset about the calls and  Lakers coach Phil Jackson had this to say” Leon Powe gets more foul shots than my whole team and Powe only played 14 minutes. that’s ridculous. You can’t play from a defcit like that we in the 1st half 19-2 I never seemed a game like that, all these years I’ve been in the finals unbelievable.” The Celtics 38-10 that’s how many more free throws they had than the Lakers in Game 2.  But also the Lakers needs to be worry about team defense.  The Celtics shot 53% from the floor.  And guys like Leon Powe having career game.  The Celtics control the inside the whole with boards and must figure a way to stop Paul Pierce.  Game 3 moves to the Staple Center Tuesday night.
