Blackout In HollyWood- Celtics 97-Lakers 91!!!!
June 13, 2008 |
The Boston Celitcs during this post season run was not good on the road. They lost to the Hawks, Cavaliers three times in each series. But in the NBA Eastern Finals the Celtics started to turn it around. By winning two road games on the road. And the Boston Celtics who throughout the regular season posted the best NBA road record at 31-10. But the Celtics coming into this NBA Finals. Was considred by many and your’s truly to be old and not deep. Plus the Lakers coming out of the tough West and be the former Champs the Spurs in five. The Lakers looked unstoppable. But that’s why we play the game.
The Lakers in game 4 jumped out to a 21 point lead in the 1st quarter. Which was the biggest lead in NBA Finals history. And had a 18 point lead going into half time. Odom,GaSol were finally clicking 0n all levels. The Lakers had the Celtics down but not out. Due to a few changes that were made at the half one was putting Paul Pierce on Kobe Bryant and another was letting Eddie House take over as the point guard. By doing the Lakers who was shooting at 50 plus percent at the half. Came crashing down to 33 percent in the second half. But the most surprising thing in this whole NBA Finals is that the Boston back court has out played the Lakers back court. The combination of Ray Allen and Eddie House has been more effective than Farmer,Byrant,Fisher. Paul Pierce had this to say about the win last night.”I don’t want to get overjoyed,”I want to go out there to try and win Game 5 on Father’s Day and then I’ll be able to breathe. Right now, I’m waiting to exhale.”"It’s definitely a great win, one that you’re going to put up there in the library and break back out one day for your kids to watch, “But I want nothing more than that ring right now.” Can it be on Father’s Day when the Boston Celtics become champions or do the Lakers have enough heart to fight back? Will see !!
