The Red Sox wake up today sitting in 2nd place. A half game behind the team who has the best record in baseball. The Red Sox has a chance to take on the best team in baseball starting tonight. The Red Sox will take on The Tampa Bay Rays. Now the Red Sox and the Rays got into a little scrap last time they met each other. The University of Georgia’s famous mascot, Uga VI, has died of congestive heart failure. The beloved Bulldog was 9-year-old and he has been the mascot since 1999. You could see him on the sidelines of every game with the letter “G” on the front of his jersey. The picture above shows Uga on the field during the game between the Georgia Bulldogs and the Oklahoma State Cowboys on September 1, 2007 at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Georgia. For those who are UGA fans this is a very sad day.

The Rays have a record of 49-32 and have a half game lead on the World Champions Boston Red Sox. The names are now start to becoming house hold now. Upton, Crawford and the rookie of the year canidate Longoria who is leading the Rays in homeruns with 15 and RBI’S 47. As for the pitching steady and good as well. Sonnanstine leads the club with 9 wins. And Shields is leads the club in ERA and strike outs. The Rays have won 5 out of there last 6.
Tonight in Dallas Texas. The landscape of what is called the WWE remain the same. The WWE Champion Triple H defeated John Cena in a classic match. The win was the first one Triple H ever had over John Cena. The WWE HeavyWeight Champion Edge took Batisa, and lets just say it took a General Manager,Chavo Gurerro and two look a like guys who look like Edge to beat the Animal Batista. There were two shockers of the night of Champions. Mark Henry won the triple threat match up that included Kane and The Big Show. Mark Henry put the big splash on Kane and is now the new ECW Champion. The Intercontinental Championship changed hands. Y2J aka Chirs Jerico lost the to Kofi Kingston due to Shawn Micheals getting involved in the match. Kingston hit Y2J and was able to get the one,two,three. Now what is going to happened on RAW?
