K.C. Chiefs Draft Grade

Chief fans you guys can stand up and cheer with this draft class. With the Falcons trying to clean up their rep and the Raiders………well who knows what the Raiders are doing, Herm Edwards and his staff made out like fat rats in a cheese factory. Almost half of their draft picks can come in and make a instant impact. Let’s take a looksee.

Round 1, Pick 15 (15) (From Lions): Branden Albert, OG, Virginia

Round 2, Pick 4 (35): Brandon Flowers, CB, Virginia Tech

Round 3, Pick 10 (73) (From Broncos through Vikings): Jamaal Charles, RB, Texas

Round 3, Pick 13 (76) (From Lions): Brad Cottam, TE, Tennessee

Round 3, Pick 19 (82) (From Vikings): DaJuan Morgan, S, North Carolina State

Round 4, Pick 6 (105): Will Franklin, WR, Missouri

Round 5, Pick 5 (140): Brandon Carr, CB, Grand Valley State

Round 6, Pick 4 (170): Barry Richardson, OT, Clemson

Round 6, Pick 16 (182) (From Vikings): Kevin Robinson, WR, Utah State

Round 7, Pick 3 (210): Brian Johnston, DE, Gardner-Webb

Round 7, Pick 32 (239) (From Giants): Mike Merritt, TE, Central Florida

Now just by looking at his list of players these guys will be a tough team to deal with in about 2-3 years. Let’s just hope that Herm Edwards can stay long enough to reap the rewards.
