Danica Patrick was Clipped out of a top 10 finish at the 500
Danica Patrick made history earlier this year by becoming the first woman to win a IRL race. Her goal to win the Indy 500 will have to wait another year. After staying in the top 10 all race, Patrick was clipped in pit row on the final pit-stop of the day. Not only did the clip spin her out, but it also destroyed her front suspension to take her our of the race completely. Race Officals had to restrain Patrick from Ryan Briscoe (the driver who clipped her). Scott Dixon won the race.
