There’s No Place Like Home
After opening this series down 0-2, the Utah Jazz have shown the Los Angeles Lakers that home is wonderful place to be. In last nights overtime victory 123-115, the Jazz played some of their toughest defense this playoff series. This lead the Lakers to put the Jazz on the foul line. The Jazz went 9-for-9 from the foul line while outscoring the Lakers 15-7. MVP Kobe Bryant was fighting back spasms from early in the first quarter, he still finished with 33 pts and 10 assists. Coach Phil Jackson stated that the team is still depending to much on Kobe.
The Lakers struggled to make points count and with Utah’s defense a lot of things that come easy to the Lakers just didn’t happen. Silly things like Ronny Turiaf getting ejected for coming down to hard on Ronnie Price. Deron Williams had 29 pts and 14 assist and Mehmet Okur added 18 pts and 11 rebounds. The next game will be in LA but the Lakers are going to have to start the game off strong and they can’t let Utah come out punching like that. Like I said before they need to find ways to get everyone involved and kept up the intensity. The Lakers need these last two wins and they are going to have to win in Utah to do it.
