Champion, Selfish, Determination, Trader, Fearful, Injured, Rapist,8, 24….these and so much more have described Kobe Bryant over his career.  Now a new word can follow him MVP. After 12 seasons in the NBA Kobe can now join the other former Lakers Magic, Kareem, and Shaq who have all won in the past.   He called this award a blessing and an honor and emphasized that he wants another trophy this year.

The 29-year-old Bryant said that this award is a team award and not an individual award.  This is truly a happy day for all KB24 fans, a day that should have happen years ago.  Kobe received 82-first-place votes and 1,100 points in the media.  New Orleans’ Chris Paul  finished second and Bostons’ Kevin Garnett finished third.  Kobe’s season started off were pretty much last season ended.  He lost again in the first round and frustrated with Lakers management and his team, he didn’t asked but demanded to be traded.  This sent shock waves through the NBA and Lakers fans alike.  But playing in the Summer Olympics, Kobe grapped a new attitude and wanted to focus more on winning.  And he did just that.  He found a new trust in his team and from there THEY took it all the way to winning the the Western Conference.

Despited playing with a tearing ligament in his right pinkie, Kobe still managed to average 28.3 pts, 6.3 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 1.84 steals.  He is on mission this year and he knows that this Lakers team has what it takes to win this year. I so happy for him and his family!   Congratulations Kobe, You did it……..Now go and get that Finals MVP award!!!
